Title: Dream Portfolio Choices Advice for Crypto Fund Manager
Post by: Passive Coin on October 14, 2017, 07:24:54 AM
Let's us assume, Crypto Fund Manager needs your advice.
You need to provide your choice for crypto investments.

Please post replies that include choosing by you:
 - two best options to invest in top crypto coins, Like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Monero, etc.
 - two best options to invest in promising coins/tokens, like TaaS, Minereum, Bit20, PrimalBase, or any other.

Example answer:
 - Bitcoin - I think this grandfather coin will hit $10K - I will hold long.
 - Litecoin - i think this coin is undervalued and it's worth include in the inv. fund.
 - Minereum - Active dev. team and service that support this coin.
 - TaaS - Interesting inv. fund paying out dividends.

Please do not include ICOs, only existing coins tradeable on any exchange.
.... and please, please, please do not include "empty" coins by answering: I like this coin becuase is often pumped  or some big whales are active on this coin market.
When comes to promising coins, I mean coins/tokens backed by active development team, backed by sensible product, service or backing fund/investment fund.

Thank you for your advice!   :)

Very true. But, sensible investment strategy needs diversification.
So, holding 10 top coins plus holding 10 promising coins/tokens.
Smart diversification is never wrong. :)

Good points made already, the consistent top 10 coins or even a good percentage
of these should be in any portfolio, or what i call 'the old reliables'
Bitcoin.
Ethereum,
Litecoin.
NEM.
Dash,
Monero.

LoL ... "the old reliables" -  I love this answer.
Yes, yes, yes - all this coins will be added to portfolio. :)
60%-70% of capital to 10 reliables (chosen from top-20 capitalization)
and 30%-40% of capital to promising coins.

... but, you was afraid to pick-up any promising coin/token ....

Bitcoin I'm not sure if there is need for explanations, we all know where we are heading.
LiteCoin because it will worth 1/10 of Bitcoin very soon, LN integration knocks on our door.
Bancor could be next big surprise, many new tokens integrating this protocol and increasing its value. Price is under ICO so it is good time for investing.
Do not forget coins with anonymous features, they are main reason why we are here. Everything started as possibility to trade anonymously, so my advice is to invest in next good currencies :
Monero - already proven
CloakCoin - good team, new concept of mixing coins
ZenCash undervalued, better version of Zcash, master nodes coming soon.
KoreCoin, i made a big mistake whit this one, I underestimated power of community..

After BTC fork we will go green again! 8)

Never heard about KoreCoin ... learning, learning, learning mean % in green, in the future. Not joining all this stupid ICOs.

MikeMike is lead of project and wonderful person, he managed to create a miracle to restore Kore coin from the dead. In this case i have learned my lesson, I openly spoke negatively ( you can even find me quoted there) in their thread that their work is pointless, no support, price was miserably low..Now situation look more than promising  thanks to Mike and his superhuman efforts!
I do not invest in ICOs, only coin tokens which are already on the exchanges- safe tokens.

Thanks again for great insight ...
Sure, I will read the topic and investigate all the options, you mentioned. :)

I am just curious about this Draftcoin in your signature.
Can I register at competition there without entering competition itself?
I mean, I would like to watch the best performers and best portfolios, without entering competition.
I am not sure, it's possible.  ???

I presume its free for joininig as it says on announcing page, but better check. Maybe you can visit main thread or contact their manager.
Responsible person is TotleInc ann thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2251382
My signature is paid advertisements and I am participant of signature campaign which is organized by manager Edwardard.
In most cases those signature does not reflect person's real opinions, so therefore they cannot be used as real lead of an investment. But can help you to find out how big an project is if you collecting information's how much they are spending on PR.

Thank you again for great answer.
Edwardad portfolio of managed campaigns looks really impressive.
... and is good information, which projects was/are worth looking into it further, as he try to avoid scams.
Nice source of information.
When my rank at BT grow, maybe I will work under Edwardad in some campaigns.
It's always "nice' to earn some bounty/reward/etc. and add it to the backing/inv. fund. :)

My upcoming investment coin would be NEBL.

- Low marketcap compared to similar projects
- Low token supply
- Already have an andriod wallet
- IOS wallet nearly ready
- Always ahead of roadmap
- Smooth releases, wallets etc have never been buggy on release

Thank you chilly9876 for sharing some information.
Interesting!  ... and i will investigate further like Sherlock Holmes.  ;D
In fact, I love limited supply coins.
I'm really tired of all this "empty" coins issued in hundreds of million just for not any reason ...
uhhh ... time for quality coins. :)

My choices will be

Bitcoin: Price is stable and constantly increasing.
Monero: Privacy coin with strong development
Ethereum: Popular ico platform
OMG: strong development team and good community support

shirackjs - thank you for your post.
Surely, all this three "reliables" will find it's place in my portfolio.
I need to take a closer look to OMG - I didn't followed this coin.
Perhaps, you are right buddy....
Anyway, thanks for any help. :)

Two I'd pick from the top cap coins: ETH and XRP.
And two promising coins with much lower cap: Aragon and Aventus.

But always have some BTC too :)

Thanks Styca for some insight.
Sure, Bitcoin will be always in my portfolio. Grandfather is a must and I see $5000 level done easy-going way.

Aragon and Aventus ... I will take a look at this picks.
I just need five to ten promising coins but backed by active dev. team and sensible plan that can reward us with long-term gains.  :)

Here is what I think:

Bitcoin - it's the branding of crypto and it has 50% of the market, because of this it will go up everytime
Ethereum - it's a race between it and bitcoin and in the future it might overpass it

Thanks SirSer
BTC and ETH ... hmmmm .... I think, we know it already!  ;D

30% to 40% of fund's money will go into promising coins, backed by active teams, sensible product, service or investment fund.
What kind of promising coins, you gonna pick up to your private investment fund?

IOTA - Truly revolutionary blockchain technology. Transforming blockchain to a new level essentially. It’s actually Tangle technology, not blockchain.
NEO - Also a smart contract based platform. Called the Ethereum of China. Has the same potential if not more than Ethereum.
Civic - Building an identity based platform that could replace a lot of login credentials. Doctor’s office, airport, etc.
OMG - It will utilize plasma network that will make transactions ultra fast (billions of transactions per second).
BAT - A new platform that is focused on improving the efficiency of digital advertising. The offer a browser named brave.

long term holding ;D

Thanks slayer999
Good choices, I like your post.

IOTA and NEO is a must (I suppose so) and this coins belongs to "reliables" than promising.
I know very little about CIVIC, need to learn more.
I see a lot of support for OMG at Bitcointalk forum. Interesting.
... BAT.
Well, my investment list is getting better and better.

Who next with some long-term, smart and sensible choices?

seems no more long-term, smart and sensible choices  ;D

Haven't updated this topic for a while. Sorry!
In reality, I bought two new coins to my backing fund.
It's NEO and KuCoin.
After BTC segwit fork cancelation, NEO reacted very well and gone up by $5 per coin.
KuCoin also reacted up.
I am gonna hold this coins, long-term.

Anyway, we need more diversified portfolio.
So, feel free to suggest any good coins/tokens backed by sensible product, service, fund, index, etc.
Thanks in advance.
