Hey,
I know x16 to x1 PCI-E risers work good for BTC. However, I read on someone's post that LTC actually require bandwitch and x16 to x1 risers will affect performance. is that true or the x1 slots are actually as good as x16 ones, just as they are at BTC mining ?

No true. Using the x1 risers does not affect performance for either BTC or LTC mining.

Thanks a lot for answer, mate. Have you personally tried it ? I'm asking because another member claims using x1 slot instead x16 actually affects the performance. If i get confirmation from someone who actually mined LTC with GPUs both on x1 and x16 slots and seen no (big) difference, that's all i need in order to clarify this for myself :)

There is no difference between running LTC mining rigs on 1x to 16x extenders, or with cards directly in the mobo.
I'm currently mining LTC with six of my cards on 1x to 16x extenders, and there's no difference between the ones in the mobo and the ones on extenders.

I am running six 1x risers on my 7970s and getting 740 kh/s per card.  In other words, that's very good and the 1x risers aren't limiting it at all.  :)
