Title: SUSPECTED SCAMMER: Mosper
Post by: mah87 on June 06, 2013, 07:22:24 PM
BEWARE:

Scammer talks:

"After all the well respected people scamming on here (pirate nefario many many more) sadly forum rep doesn't mean much to me. It's nothing personal. I've done a lot of trades face to face, through seals with clubs, and through localbitcoins for moneypak as well but I don't think that makes me any less likely to take your money and run. I would say if anything I'm more at risk because if you stole from me nobody would believe me and I'd probably get called a scammer. I do regular trading for 20+ bitcoins at a time and I rely on this community for a lot of influx capital when I need a surge I'm not going to throw that away for $150 I assure you."

Always the same arguments!

-"sorry but no escrow" why ? "oooh I had bad experience blablabla"

-"I know that you had dozen of good feedback but I would prefer you to send first" why ? "oooh I had bad experience blablabla"

AVOID THIS GUY OR USE ESCROW !

Don't cry later if you send first!

I can confirm that he is a scammer. Don't ask me how I know, its classified information.

That'e enough to get him on the scammers list at bitcoinscammer.com   :D

I ran into this guy as I was trying to buy 15 Block Erupters (post mentioned above).  I actually don't live far from him so I arranged a local trade with him.

He insisted that I pay upfront (because of his fear of being robbed).  I asked if we could use escrow and he said that's not the way he does business.  I asked for pictures and he provide this:

https://i.imgur.com/hc4S2Xe.png (http://imgur.com/hc4S2Xe)

and anytime after say noon? (I don't get up THAT early and need to do a few things)

edit: notice name looks a little ghostly. Wrote it with one of those pens you use to check if money is counterfeit. More things that selling bitcoins in person changed about my life. I now own those haha.

I did some searching and came across this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-x-ASIC-USB-Bitcoin-Miners-Block-Erupter-Emerald-336-Mhash-s-/221235216184

I asked him about the eBay image this morning and he said the eBay image is the one that copied his image on imgur.  So, I saved both pictures locally and took a look.  The eBay image is 1600x900, while his is 800x450.  Also, you can notice the P from the eBay image still has a clearly visible blend outline in his image.

He quickly changed his story at this point and said he didn't have the items, but could get them.  He also said that since he was lying I could send him just half up-front and pay the other half when I got the chips and confirmed they were working.

His BTC address is: 1sC1zGWu6HJyB4hM1scnWHm3smGerf5oC

I also have a photo of his ID. Not sure if its real or not but if he scams someone, I can provide details and maybe he's dumb enough to use his real identity.  His ID and location information seemed to be accurate, but then again he could have just stolen this guys identity....who knows.

Only response I'm making here is that you did not bring up any of this other than asking me why the picture was on ebay. There was no AH HA GOTCHA LOOK AT THE RESOLUTION!!! I came clean on my own. Don't know why you feel the need to lie what I did was already unnecessary and dumb enough. I guess have fun with that though.

You changed your story after being caught in a blatant lie.  I sent you the eBay link and you said they copied it from you.  Recall this:

Idk? I took my picture before when trying to sell them? Maybe he got it off imgur and altered it? Most pictures on Ebay aren't real in my experience.

If what you mean by "coming clean" is changing your story...then yes, you are a saint.

Yes I said that then immediately said you know what fuck it here's the truth. There was zero exchange between us in between the two messages. You're a douchebag. Trying to make it sound like you cornered me with your elite photoshop detective until I had no choice but to tell the truth. There was probably 15 seconds between the message you just posted and me going actually here's what happened I'm not gonna lie anymore. All you did was ask why the picture was on ebay. I guess you want to make yourself sound like a superhero on here for cool points or something. Not only are you a douchebag overly taking advantage of one stupid thing I did but you're also out 15 chips so good job. I'm done posting here I've said my peace.

The chips exist. I could have picked them up and you'd already have them by now. I don't have them in my possession but I've seen them myself and I will be there with them in my hands when I pay for them. If anyone wants 15 of them let me know. The big secret that I don't have them myself is out there now. I don't think it's a big deal.

Oh quit lying, you'll be back in this thread a few more times before the day is up.

As for me being a superhero, I never once said I cornered you or anything to the effect.  I pointed out that your Photoshopping skills are not good and that it was obvious that you were attempting to scam me or anyone wanting to buy Block Erupters.

90% of your story does not check out and 5% could be provided by anyone with an internet connection. The remaining 5% I can't disprove so you are actually the person you say you are or you stole their identity.

You WILL have your devices by tomorrow afternoon. I'm not looking to pull a one over I just want to get out of this BTC game and get my life back on track.

My main thing and why I want payment upfront will make more sense now is that I can't afford to buy these things from the guy and get stuck with them or robbed or anything and lose my money. I have 9 BTC in blockchain I'm selling today and that+ my own cash would let me cover the rest if I had half up front. I'm not trying to pressure you I just want you to have all of the information this time up front for you to make a decision. I think this should explain a lot of my requests about how we do the deal.

What happened to having 23 BTC that you say you had for sale here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226968.0
Or wait, were you buying BTC here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=227223.msg2393017#msg2393017

I don't know who you are trying to scam now.....wait, I bet its everyone....

Its hard to keep all of your lies straight isn't it?  You should consider being honest and you'll see that its a lot less stressful.

I guess I will make another post. I buy and sell btc because I make a small profit when I do it due to guy on localbitcoins paying over market. It's not that complicated. You're a jackass. I told one lie and one lie only and it wasn't even a huge deal in my eyes though still a lie. Everyone would have gotten what they wanted in the end. You believe what you want but you are a royal jackass.

Shitty person you are.

The amazing thing of this guy is that he is trying to scam from his very first day on these forums, but I guess he is so bad at it he doesn't even needs a scammer tag

LOL

He tried selling me 23 BTC but refused to use an escrow. I am a fairly new member to this forum however i have seen john k name mentioned a lot so i suggested we used him. He said that all the long time forum members here are the biggest scammers!!

I said he could choose someone on the forum that he trusted as Escrow and I would check them out before accepting. Obv he refused again. He kept insisting I send him money first!

I wouldn't normally call it a scam but seeing from his track record it speaks for itself really.

I did not say the oldest members are the biggest scammers. I said I don't put faith in reputation because the biggest scammers WERE some of the most trusted/established like pirate/nefario/usagi and others.

I ran into this guy as I was trying to buy 15 Block Erupters (post mentioned above).  I actually don't live far from him so I arranged a local trade with him.

I tried to arrange a local trade with him for an Avalon he is pretending to own.  He offered to sell if for 180btc.  When I pressed him he gave the same non-sense song and dance about not trusting johnk.  LOL.

He showed me a picture of the Avalon sitting in a corner of a room not hooked up (LOL).  I have not bothered searching to find the original that he used.

I offered to meet him face to face in a bank and then he suggested that I might jump him after we leave the bank?  Why would I do that if he put his money in the bank?

He told me he lives in Austin Texas.

Also said he was supposed to be in jail on Friday if he did not pay a DWI.  I questioned why he was in the forums yesterday tradng instead of jail and he said "did I say that?".

MOSPER IS A SCAMMER!

That is what he claims.  He setup to meet me at a Wendy's on 7th, right off 35.

I'm guessing he just google mapped Austin and found a Wendy's.  He's most likely from somewhere else.

If someone actually gets scammed and has proof of sent coins, I'll provide his ID.

I already admitted just like the USB miners I don't have them in my possession ok. It was stupid of me to lie about that. I was going to use the money to buy the stuff and make a little myself on the difference.

I was checking out recent posts of a guy I was going to trade XRP/BTC and saw this:

May be another sock puppet, who knows.

This guy is actively scouring reddit and messaging people here trying to sell products.  I dont even know how he really tied my reddit username to this one.  It's not ive gone to extreme measures to hide the connection, but it just shows how far this guy is willing to go to scam.

The only thing this guy should be selling is photoshop lessons. Anyone that 100% refuses to use escrow is almost always a scammer.
