Electroneum - The newest member to be added to the family. Does all the things happening around it is positive or just hoax? Post your suggestions.

Above me just another account that has used to shill electrishit project, come on OP electroneum is not bitcoin. Bitcoin as the mother of crypto is not same with its shitcoin. Bitcoin is everything at the moment.
Do you wanna compare shit token with mother of crypto?  :D

is there or will there be a compelling reason to use electroneum (etn) over any other token?

It's focussed on a ''niche'' market, don't really know if it is that niche.

breakdown:

People pay for mobile gaming apps and stuff like that and quite a bit of money goes into it. Electroneum wants to become an ingame currency to transfer the money you have in one app to another. I don't think its intended for real world use. Developers will then also be incentivized (payed) to intergrate electroneum. Overall I think thats a very good idea.

They also have something with gambling but its been a while since I read their whitepaper, they are however one of the few companies if not the only company to do market research.
That is also how they came up to use 2 decimals as opposed to bitcoins 8 decimals (satoshi's).

I think it has potential, no guarrantee but obviously it will be favored by gamers since any money left in a game they want to quit can be transfered to another game they want to start in. I think this is also the reason why that CEO guy from Rocketspace or something bought into that ICO. Cause it does actually have an appeal and usecase for gamers.

I've been strongly considering taking advantage of their token sale, which finishes in a couple of days. They've already raised upwards of around $20M, which is quite impressive if you ask me. I think the ability to have app-based mining on your smartphone is pretty neat but certainly not revolutionary. I'm wondering if the whole 2 decimal approach is going to work for or against them because even though it makes it easier to determine the relative worth of the coin, it also makes it less crypto-like, if that makes any sense.

There's a chance that electroneum will be the next bitcoin. You may check the details about it and it has a lot of features that can benefit the users but still bitcoin is bitcoin what I mean is no other coin can replace bitcoin since as per one person who posted here "it is the mother of crypto". Anyways, we have to consider all ICO's or altcoins and support them since this is our way to earn :)

Of course those who say, "Bitcoin is the mother of all coins" will hate electroneum.
Here are other types of people who hate electroneum (and hate every other coin, and their mom and their dad and their cat): miners, blockchain developers, leet crypto traders who have known about BTC waaaay before everyone else and are superior to all these other fake wannabe trader newbies like me.

Of course I love bitcoin.  Or, to put it more accurately, I love decentralized digital currency.
In that, BTC is king, but only because we decide it is.
The fact is, there are HUNDREDS of coins, platforms, and projects that are superior to BTC.
Someday, it will be replaced as naturally as VHS was replaced by DVDs.

Rather than look at the actual token itself, look at what the company is trying to accomplish and how they are trying to do that: mass adoption of crypto through viral marketing aimed directly at the common, everyday, cell phone user that has no idea what a blockchain is.

So it is more important to look at the app really, as a gauge as to whether that can actually catch on.

I'm biased cause I invested in it, but yes I do believe it can catch on.

It seems the token sale has ended. Does this mean, all the tokens previously planned to sell are stocked out? or just they couldnt handle anymore? I dont know if it is good sign or not. Guess we have to wait a little longer to find out.

I don't think there will be a next Bitcoin, i don't think most people understand the real value of Bitcoin, it can be as big as BTC or even Bigger but not Bitcoin. This is just a mining app and will like to see how it work out before buying into the project

whenever an altcoin claims to be "the next bitcoin" i immediately become skeptical.
whenever that altcoin insists on calling itself "the next bitcoin" i become sure it is a pump and dump scheme which is desperate to get some attention by calling itself "the next bitcoin"!
and when at last i check the project and see nothing interesting i become sure of all my assumptions. and this has not been the first time an altcoin did this.

the real "next bitcoin" won't have to call itself "the next bitcoin" for sure.

none this means price won't go up though. these coins are good pump and dumps. you can see ETH for the example, they can be very profitable.

Too much altcoin now so I think It wont be another bitcoin.
with this much attention on the ICO currently I think I have the potential so somehow reach litecoin height or something like that.

as a person who participate in this project , really wish it can atleast reach litecoin value.

I can see Electroneum Thread everywhere especially in the Discussion Section LOL xp

Anyhow, i would rate it 8/10.
Project uniqueness is one of the reason
But the major reason is i believe that Mobile crypto could bring in Major Adoption towards the industry

Mobile phone users are more than PC users based on the research for this few years compare to the past few years

bitcoin is the parent of all digital coins, that's why bitcoin will be one of the strongest coins, because behind it comes various coins which are basically the children or branches of bitcoin called altcoin, because we do not need to panic ,, because until whenever altcoin may never be able to overtake the sale value of bitcoin

I felt electroneum tried to heard to convince people they'll be mining from their mobile when that is not the case. Also they made as though people will make $30 dollars a month. That would mean if they had 100,000 users they'd be giving away 30 million USD worth of coins a month, absolutely impossible.

For the above reasons I have no trust in their product whatsoever.

I invested in ETN as well but I don't think it will be the next BTC. Or I am looking that high with this token. But no one knows!. Anyway, etn focuses on one niche and has a target users/people. Unlike btc, everything unser the sun that uses crypro, there will always be a btc :D

I dont think bitcoin will ever be replaced. it is the daddy of all cryptocurrencies and all ways will be.

does not mean that electroneum wont do well though

Are you saying this because you are carrying their signature or because you believe in the coin. Mobile cryptocurrency right? It is too early to start judging, I believe, only time will really tell if it will thrive but saying it will be the next bitcoin is what I do not really understand. In value? or because it has huge features that will make everyone shift from bitcoin to the new currency? We should really stop all these jokes honestly.

It really is not in competition with BTC.

We did just hit the 40 million hard cap early, witu a record 310,000 users. You can get it on Nov 1st when we hit exchanges and the blockchain goes live.

I don't agree yet that Electroneum is another Bitcoin in the making, It might in the future if the Hype keeps going. But let see on November 1 what will happen to this coin. There are lots of alt coins now a days that has a target cap during ICO and after ICO they just Vanished and never updates the project. I put only 400$ on this during ICO so let's just hope for the best.
