I thought you have developed an app to monitor twitter and facebook.
If you ask such tool, could you be specific regarding the features you want about social media monitoring?
I'm not sure about facebook (not a fan) here some articles about it:

Tweeps: What do they tweet about? How much do they tweet? How social are they? Do they use hashtags? Share URLs? Tweeps answers these questions and more. It analyzes the content of Twitter users' tweets to find interesting statistics about them, and updates them several times a day. You can use Tweeps to help you decide who to follow, who you would like to be following you, or just to discover interesting information about Twitter users.

you can download free software from the following link

http://download.cnet.com/Free-Facebook-Monitoring/3000-27064_4-76054690.html

This free Facebook monitoring program is a simple and handy software application that allows parents to monitor the Facebook activities of young children. It is basically a reliable program that helps parents to monitor the content accessed and viewed by the children.

Social media is getting the same as the current world, political correctness & bending over backwards to please minorities. You can’t say anything without being censored. Take me back to a different era, the current one sucks.

Hi!

I've happily used https://www.hootsuite.com/ in the past for social media monitoring.
It's far away from being open source, though.

Hope that helps.
Best,
Corina
