Is Microsot accepting BITCOIN  BTC??  If so it is wonderful news!!

My understanding is that you can buy Microsoft-owned games and stuff with Bitcoin. I never really paid much attention to it, myself.

You are actually right but yet this thing is already be considered as a good new though since they are already adopting bitcoin into their company which would really signifies that popularity is really going broad.Knowing microsoft is a big company and might they would add up more developments which would make use of bitcoin into theirs.

This has been live for a couple of months and some products/services can be bought using BTC. You cant  buy PC's and laptops ect as yet through the online store though.

In any event, it is a step in the right direction, and having a company of Microsoft's calibre openly begin to accept BTC paves the way to mainstream acceptance.  Well done MSFT.

This is very good news, which was fairly predictable, Bill Gates is one of the first bitcoin enthusiast. Personally, I hope that Tim Cook will quickly take the way, to renew my apple devices without going by fiat!

Not only Microsoft. Google is already developing the extension by which each will be able to pay bitcoins. I think bitcoin has finally started to recognize.

Microsoft is already accepting Bitcoin I'm pretty sure. But yes you can get used to big corporations wanting people to give them bitcoins because they know it has long-term potential.

Yes it is right, you can buy at microsoft with bitcoin at the moment, but it only means that you can buy their stuff, like tshirts, some stuff for your computer, their gadgets and software.. etc.
there is nothing new with that because you were able to buy the same stuff in other websites like amazon, ebay, etc, only that without bitcoin.
But of course that this are good news, because it means that a lot of bussiness are taking bitcoin in consideration.

It is still limited to certain stuffs, but seeing Microsoft accepting bitcoins at least partially, is something to pay attention to...

Now that you mention it, maybe this was one of the reasons BTC price finally broke up the $5000 barrier everyone was so worried about. I always thought it'll breach that barrier by the end of current year, but guess it was sooner that expected.

Those are good news but yes, you can only buy a limited things, you can not buy everything from their store using bitcoin, because they dont allow it at the moment, but those are good news because more brands and shops are interested in accepting bitcoin and altcoins, i think that amazon is going to accept bitcoin soon, it is just matter of days before we hear the communicate from their bussines saying that they are willing to accept bitcoin.

I've seen this news on the social media and it's a good one that many popular companies are starting to accept bitcoin for their payment. Bill Gates is a supporter of bitcoin and this is just a right thing to do if they want to get more profit about bitcoin. And expect maybe next time facebook will accept bitcoin payments for their advertising service on their social media platform and as well as instagram, wait for it.

Yeah it's been around awhile now. Microsoft used bitpay to handle the bitcoin payments. It converts bitcoin to money. So in the end, it's still like you withdrew your bitcoin to money then paid. I'm not sure but if people paid this way then it might affect the price of bitcoin. The technology does present some convenience. Maybe in the future bitcoin payments will be accepted as bitcoin.

if so, that would be good news, where the popularity of microsoft will help bitcoin become more popular as well, and eventually btc prices will soar until we can not imagine it.

If i am not wrong Microsoft started accepting bitcoin for a very long time for their services and it is nothing new as you were able to purchase Xbox games and pay the applications using bitcoin back in 2015,i do not know that whether they have discontinued that and restarted the process,but i am sure they accepted bitcoin earlier.

As long as you see the BTC sign in a website, that's a free ads on our behalf! ha ha! And yes, if Microsoft games could be purchased with bitcoins, then it means we already have a captive market - the gamers. Soon, those gamers will become traders.

This is a good news finally they added bitcoin as payment option, although it can't use to purchase stuff in microsoft online store at least you can purchase items in windows or xbox store, well i'm not surprised at all since bitcoin become more popular many companies are using it as payment method, i personally will not spend mu bitcoin as long as i can pay those items with cash i will keep my bitcoin in my wallet.

Microsoft is not only accepting Bitcoin, but they are heavily invested in the blockchain. They invested in Ethereum also.

Sooner or later Amazon, Walmart and all major retailers will accept bitcoin, who wouldn't want to get paid on something that keeps increasing its value?

this is exciting news. microsoft is one of the largest companies in the world, and with the adoption of bitcoin by them, this is certainly a trigger for other large companies to come to use it. And that means the popularity of bitcoin will skyrocket. and of course this is very influential on the increase in price.

Seeing a big company who is now accepting bitcoin is a good and a big advantage for them but it is only limited to some stuffs or things.. bitcoin can buy..
If microsoft will continue to accept bitcoin as payment it can result to more exposure of bitcoin to the crowd and it may help to be more popular and well known of BITCOIN and other crypto currency

You can buy games using Bitcoin, I know that for a fact, but there has never really been a need for me to buy any games from them since they typically do not have anything worth playing, aside from the occasional neat racing game like forza horizon which I kind of wanted to play but decided against it.

I don't know if they sell many, or any, of their other products for Bitcoin, but I don't know if there would be any kind of real improvement that would come from such a program set out by them. It might have a minor impact on the community when it comes to the price, but most people won't buy anything from them. I would be willing to put money on it.

Have you seen the link that you posted? YES THEY ARE. If this will push through and Microsoft will continue on implementing Bitcoin payment to other software such as office and other OS , it will be a good advertisement to propagate to other markets. Free Advertisement indeed!

This is actually huge, if bill gates is on it thats great news, sooner or later the number of companies doing this will be exponential and bitcoin prices.... who knows?

The effect of this to Bitcoin's market would be great. The market support will even more solidify and by this it is offerjng free advertisement for Bitcoin that will lead to more people knowing it and use it. By this, the demand will raise and so as the price which would be nice overall esoecially to those who have been in Bitcoin for a long time.

Is it a legit news? If it is, I'm sure this news will be helpful because it will contribute for another price increase in Bitcoin. It is not impossible that Microsoft will accept Bitcoin because its owner, Bill Gates, is a strong believer of crypto currency. In fact, he has huge investments in Ethereum. I think its legitimate, as an endorser of technology, its probably what they will do and I think what Microsoft did will make a huge contribution to the fame of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Because if Microsoft trust it, then other that have doubt will also do the same.

maybe we can pay with bitcoin when we want to buy licenses, games and devices or even we can buy Microsoft product and this is absolutely great news for us so our chance to use bitcoin to pay something is wide open. I am sure that soon many big sites especially shopping website like amazon, ebay, and other site will thinking that they can use bitcoin too for the payment and they will do the same like Microsoft. we can buy many things in that site and I think this will prevent Microsoft from piracy their software because they have a big problem with the piracy.

The gamers gain a lot of  potential into cryptocurrencies, they are well versed about bitcoin as it is now accepted as reward system or token for their skills upgrade. I saw it 3 years ago that may of my gamers friend are hook into bitcoin mining using their gaming rigs and they start making money out of mining.Now this this the transition from gamers, to miners and now to traders. Microsoft help promote bitcoin through their gamers community because some of their stuff they sell are gamers related and pay it thru third party bitcoin payment service.

This is definitel true for people who games a lot and has work om the other. They can use their gaming rigs to mine and then gain coins. If microsoft continues to support bitcoins as payment, eventually other digital and computer companies will follow. We'll see more and more things that can be purchased with bitcoins.

While a big corporations like Microsoft is a good thing for Bitcoin users, but when one sees the link it's only for very limited uses, so not much of use if one actually sees it, however if one looks for the long term then it could actually be very much profitable to all of us, if Microsoft is accepting it, then the big corporations are not far behind from accepting it. I think microsoft already accept bitcoin and it is a news a few months or even years ago. Bitcoin is being accepted by the big companies online and i think that in the future the small ones company will follow that action of microsoft and they will accept bitcoin also but the thing that i am always waiting for bitcoin is to get accepted by the countries so the adoption will become faster.

the option is that you can add funds to your account using bitcoin. then use your money in Microsoft account to buy anything that Microsoft offers.

So far I know that Bitcoin has been accepted by Microsoft besides so many big fishes. Day by day this trend is getting changed. A lot of market dominating farm has accepted Bitcoin for the payment tool. It's a stimulation news for the Bitcoin users. But for me, the most awaiting news is that Bitcoin will be legal currency whole across the world. Then I will be the happiest person in the world.

Its really good news even it has been announced several months back for me its new and also microsoft backing ethereum so might in future they will include ethereum also for their payment mode .    Bitcoin is already accepted in many companies, other companies will start to accept bitcoins

hard to stop, or I can say that nothing can stop this spreading now?

Microsot accepting Bitcoin it is not surprise for me because i remember Bill Gates said ; NOBODY CAN STOP BITCOIN  so it is mean Bill Gates understand the future will be with bitcoin and they decisied to use bitcoin in  their systems so it is so good news and i think other big companies will start to except bitcoin .

I am not surprise that even the Microsoft started accepting bitcoins as a method of payment because of its popularity. They will adapt at the current market demand. And this proves that bitcoins is not entirely focus for investment but also as a currency you can use. I think more big companies will also accept bitcoins in the future.

But if you read it you'll see that: "When you redeem Bitcoin to deposit funds into your Microsoft account, you can use it to purchase games, movies, and apps in the Windows and Xbox stores.  You cannot use these funds to purchase items in the Microsoft online store". This is a very positive thing but the problem with paying in bitcoin is this: "Money added to your Microsoft account using Bitcoin can't be refunded. I don't know why we haven't the option to be refunded". Maybe it's because of constant price change of Bitcoin. But anyway, since a lot of gamers are using bitcoin we'll see that payment method be more popular.

Microsoft is always a step ahead of the rest of the IT company, MS received a lot of blackmailing in the past and failed hard on different OS (windows vista, millenium and some other crap) but, at least for me, she always recognized their mistakes.
In a nutshell you can put money into your MS account for digital goodies by depositing BTC.. it's a shame that MS didn't advertised more the use of BTC.

Not only that some sellers in gaming forums prefers bitcoin as one of their payment method. That's a problem with the refund thing with bitcoin because you can never know if the price would still be the same, but at lease they are accepting in buying things, games and stuff using bitcoin directly for transaction, I only wish Google would be the next to accept bitcoin in buying online with games or in games item so we will not need to use second option payment like Paymaya for transaction if that happen it will sure be convenient, but Paymaya would sure no like it,  ;D

Not to let you down guys but the last time I spoke with Microsoft support, they told me that Bitcoin payment method is only available for U.S residents IIRC and will be removed from them soon.

Not too many big companies are accepting it. Microsoft isn't accepting it for most of their products. Amazon is rumored to be considering it but until the likes of these big companies do then we'll have to rely on bitcoin being traded between users and local trades

I'm always glad when new companies accept BTC, but I am still not certain that I am ready to part with my BTC at current prices.
