Selling Demonoid Invites for BTC!  ;)

Does not seem wise.  Checked their forums, I do not believe this goes with their rules, you are compromising your own account.

But whatever.

They cant exactly check, and my ratio is like 120.0 on most torrents :P

DAMN ANONYMITY!

Honestly just one of the mods has to buy it from you though and your user name is tied to the invite (I am honestly warning you, not like demonoid is exclusive file heaven).

I have considered putting a What.CD or Waffles invite up, but it's hard to price that out, I would want to make sure the person also has a high ratio.

Demonoid ratios are notoriously inaccurate.  Unlike other 'proper' private trackers they don't use any keys in the announces or torrents but instead rely on IP addresses.  This fails on many levels.

Anyone with a dynamic IP address is pretty much guaranteed to have an incorrect ratio.  Demonoid simply use the address you had when you last logged in there, so if your address changes then it won't be connected to your account or the torrents you're running.  Further, if someone else is allocated your IP address as last recorded by Demonoid then all their transfers will be assigned to you.

And it doesn't work at all if you use a seedbox.

Damn. As a music lover I would really like to get into one of these places. I will be able to contribute to the sharing with my bandwidth and big hdd, but I don't think I'll get enough bitcoins anytime soon  :(
And also I don't even know is there much point in getting there, as I never have the chance to see what's there...

That's debatable, if Bitcoins are not considered "money" then I don't think there is an issue.

As far as I know you cannot give away Demonoid invites for any incentive, regardless of whether that incentive is money or not. I may be wrong.

EDIT: Be aware that you are responsible for the people you invite. If the person you invite gets banned from the site, you are at risk of getting banned as well.

I havent sold an invite...... yet. So i havent broken a rule :)
According to demonoid...maybe. But don't try this with other trackers, especially with good private trackers. You won't be so lucky, THAT i can assure you. It's simply not worth it, a couple of bucks...

You would only be banned if someone reports you, however the first thing that happens during registration is the site asking if you paid for the invite.
