Title: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: lionelpaul on October 16, 2017, 03:21:47 PM Looked like a promising project (blockchain and AI), and the ICO was conducted last August.
Now, official website (https://magos.io) is down, and all the official social pages I could check seem to be gone (https://twitter.com/MagosNetwork and https://www.facebook.com/MAGOS.io/). Anybody has some fresh info about MAGOS? Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: cardano on October 16, 2017, 03:30:33 PM Seems that they rebranded to AiO but I don't have any positive feeling, I'm also following this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2111568.0
Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: Mihaylovic on October 16, 2017, 04:24:09 PM I remember this project. As i heard they scammed people and escape. But i think they distrubuted some tokens to investors and bounty hunters. But who cares about those useless tokens after the project is scam.
Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: cardano on October 16, 2017, 07:46:55 PM I got some AiO token but as u stated they are useless atm
Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: lionelpaul on October 17, 2017, 07:16:49 AM Thanks for the answers, it helped.
Apparently, the project got a new name, AiO, with a new website and pages: https://aio.network https://twitter.com/AiO_token Not much info there, but it's announced that "Everything is still going according to the road map, starting in November." Many people are claiming that it's a scam. It's either that or the crypto-project with the worst communication team ever... Wait and see. Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: leea-1334 on October 17, 2017, 07:29:45 AM Never heard of it til here. If it is true that they rebranded, they should have kept all the old social media and website links, and just asked users to redirect. Otherwise you may have returning people see the dead links and come to their own conclusions. Can anyone here share details about the scam? Did they raise much? How did the scam happen? Why the rebrand, was this because of the scam?
Would be good to share so we all learn from this. Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: nighthawk888 on November 26, 2017, 05:34:48 AM I have amalgamated some information about the Magos scam project on my Steemit page to help anyone who may try to find out who the scammers are and/or report them to the appropriate authorities.

Post by: nighthawk888 on November 30, 2017, 07:17:12 PM Has anyone tried notifying the appropriate cyber crime authorities? They stole over a million dollars worth in Ether and I imagine would be a high priority target. All anyone has to do to catch them is go to Twitter, Facebook, Medium, Slack, their web hosts and follow the digital traces. All the funds are traceable on the blockchain too.
Also anyone interested in creating a discord to pool resources to catch these guys? Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Is there anyone else who participated in this ICO? Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: Geleve on December 02, 2017, 09:47:26 AM It is very hard to catch them. because crypto transactions are decentralized and it is hard to prove the identity of the senders/recievers. That is why it is called safe and secured. Following the transactions is something really hard.

Forget about that, the authorities will give nothing for you, because so many official said that about invest in the ico that becomes your own risk that means the authority can't take any responsibility. At least these scammers can be detected. Also anyone interested in creating a discord to pool resources to catch these guys? Title: Re: Did MAGOS evaporate? Post by: ylac on December 04, 2017, 12:22:39 PM I'm happy to create a Telegram group to share info and possibly organise an application to the appropriate authorities. Please PM me for details.
