Title: 990FXA-GD65 showing only 2 of 6.
Post by: hippiex on June 07, 2013, 03:24:31 AM
Does anyone knows if there is any special trick, like shortpin / etc.., to make the 990FXA-GD65 work with 6 cards?

It only shows 2 of the 6 cards ... All of them are plugged using powered risers.

ideas?  ???

Yes, it's very simple, short the pins A1 and B17 with a piece of very thin wire so that it can get in, you can reuse it from some piece of old computer-related equipment or electronics.

If it doesn't work after that post more info (driver versions, OS, BIOS ver, etc.)

I run the same board. Yes you need the presence mod, but in my experience I needed them on the x16 slots as well, when using 1x-16x risers.
