Title: Is Stellar Lumens a good investment for long term?
Post by: frankbitcoin on October 16, 2017, 07:35:27 PM
Obviously it's jumped 100%+ today because of the IBM partnership announcement.

I'm considering moving out of Litecoin and into Stellar.  Do you guys think there's a chance it'll head much higher this year?  Or should I just HODL my litecoin?  I'm so torn.

I wish I had been hodling my airdropped stellar lumens. Anyway, good to know that the project is taking off, but I recall stellar has been quite volatile, not sure if the IBM partnership is going to change that or not.

You just need to check the history of the founder and everybody that is advising this company. It is a great team. The founder of Stellar have created eDOnkey, Rippple and help ther founder of Mt Gox.

For the newbie saying it is a new coin, No, stupid. It was created in 2014.

And the advisor team has the founder of Strip, Patrick Collison, the founder of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg. Sam Altman, Naval Ravikant and others.

Yes it is good for long term investment as ripple is so. It is still cheap as well considering ripple's market cap.  These companies can make huge amount of money in banking industry.

I think it is. But don't invest in it after it made a 160% incrase that would be fatal. Let the dust stettle and find a good entry point. You don't want to sell you LTC low and but XML high.

Another new coin? Pretty sure, that its going to crash.

It's not a new coin. There is a huge amount of history here. Plus a guaranteed regular income stream as Jed sells his Ripple holdings piece by piece.
Might be a good project, but not sure about it as an investment - XRP is vastly better from that perspective.

From an ethical perspective however, that's different. Global inequality is probably the biggest problem we face (along with climate change and antibiotic resistance) - and there is an overwhelming social need for something to fill this space. RootProject is another.

Well, it is not the first time we will see a coin get pumped that high and it won't be that last.

It really got a pretty big volume and percentage increase so, it is a good thing for those who bought at a very low value. However, it won't be like this for long apparently, but it will still do some good for the coin as it gets noticed for trading and FOMOs too also find a way to get in.

No one can tell you what to do with your litecoin, but even if you want to move into stellar, now is not the right time, just chill for it to dip but I won't advise dropping your litecoin though.

Yes I think steller is good investment but currently it is not good to buy it as it is already 200% up, wait for a week or two and once price drop you can invest in it.

I am not sure Stellar Lumens is a good investment for long term once there are lots of other good choice. Yes, Stellar Lumens is a good project and have a working team behind, but it is always a bit behind Ripple's XRP. Moreover, founder of Stellar has a bad reputation. There are other good options such as Chainlink LINK, Ripple XRP if you want to invest a similar technology. You can also invest in Neo or Waltonchain, which are best long term good projects to invest.

If I were you I would shift my investments to Stellar. This IBM partnership announcement is of course just the beginning. The deal has just been sealed. That is simply an assurance that there is something big to happen in the future. Is there anything like this with respect to Litecoin? I think there is none.

IBM is currently the best player in enterprise blockchain. Partnership with IBM will take Lumen to the moon in few months.

I#m also thinking about buying some Stellar Lumens but i won't sell my LTC for it. I think LTC has good potential and so i hold it. What i like on Stellar Lumens is their approach to do some for the poor and giviig them the possibibility to make business without high transaction-fees. It's an awesome project

I think it is good to invest into stellar lumens but it is better to just hold your litecoin. It is a sleeping giant and if I were you, I would hold on to it tightly and wait for the moon to come. Litecoin has been in the market longer than stellar lumens and it has been stable for quite a while now. Who knows, maybe litecoin will pump by next week or next month. Just wait for it instead of trying to move onto stellar lumens.

It increased by 100% because of the news but normally news pumps don't last long the price is still high you should wait for a few days and then enter by that time all the non long term holders would have sold there coin , all these partnerships only help one for the long run for short  run it will never work
