Post by: spazzdla on October 17, 2017, 01:38:44 PM
Anyone ever noticed strength loss while working out?  Not like in the work out but over time.

Example I went from a 50lb dumbbell press to 80lb back to 70 lb :S..

I have been training on and off for over 30 years and their could be many reasons behind it. Sleep/recovery times may have been less resulting in tiredness/fatigue. Diet also plays a major part.

If you haven't trained for a while, their is normally always a loss of strength on those initial workouts.

I noticed strength loss after taking a break, and will likely notice a drop when I go back after the gym reopens after the other one went bankrupt. Do you keep notes, do you follow the same set routine, have you seen any of Mark Riptoe's videos?

You also have to consider other exercises you do, how many reps, how much weight you put in it, What you do in failure. Strength loss happens once in a while specially on your bad gym days but that's just it there are days
