France has prohibited the sending of currency, “coins and precious metals” by mail.

In new legislation which was enacted May 23rd, the French government decreed that it is forbidden to send all forms of currency - coins and cash and all forms of precious metals – coins, bars and jewellery by mail.

It was not announced by the government and not covered in the media.  There were no communications and nobody in the government justified or explained this decision.

Is Obama president of France now?

All you need is a fag hanging from his mouth, and that picture would be perfect.

I don't think it's new, nor that it's limited to France. But that shouldn't bother anyone. Snail mail is slow and inefficient, and there's high risk money would be lost. Do you know anyone who would send money in an envelope? I don't.

hah hah so are they now training dogs to sniff gold & silver at the French postal office? AFAIK mail is not subject to search within the EU.

Politicians have brain damage by definition.  >:(
