Miners vote with their GPU power, as they should. I just want to help give miners a choice. From now on will be hearing of forks of those who forked a previous coin !!! Started with BTC = Bitcoincash Bitcoincash = something else... Imagine what will happen next, unlimited forks of forked coins... I don't even see another thread for Bitcoin Gold here. Also, it will be easy for someone to choose a client with a burst of Nicehash. I do not quite understand, due to what your algorithm will gain popularity? After all, fork developers will propose their option - and it will be adopted a priori. Even the same Equihash miners will work for Bitcoin Gold. Instead of a premine they could take a certain percentage of the block reward for every coin mined--like Zcash did.
