the better place for trader to start their own is using their own local exchanger,
it's highly recommended because if something goes wrong you know what should you do.
there're noone can guarantee your money, they're good as an exchanger no more no less.
the main point for a trader that do not have any experience is by holding it
(i am saying this for them who's trading Bitcoin, because right now it's not its peak and still has a lot of room to grow.which mean more likely the price will be increasing everyday/week/month/year).
after that start to learn and read everything about Bitcoin, read what is the relation between the news and the price itself.
slowly you will get used into it.

PS : Remember do not sell your coin Cheaper than your buy order and do not trade Altcoin

Use either Bittrex or Binance. As to tips, there are so much posts here in the Trading Discussion forum about those stuff.

Main points will be, involved everyday in trading activity. In that way, you can familiarize yourself on what trade is all about. Actually you just need to learn and understand basic trading information then you can start. You don't need that technical studies since while are you moving forward, you will learn them automatically. Aside from that, a regular interaction on trades will make you familiarize in the interface of the platform you will be chosen.

Best platform will depend at your taste; Bittrex, Poloniex e.g but remember that not all tradeable cryptos are listed here. If that is the case you need to find other trading platform. You just have to familiarize the sites interface so that accessing it will not be difficult to you. Goodluck and hope you will gained a good trading stats.

You would got to the small exchange rather than use the big exchange site which contained hundreds millions volume in a day. It caused by tho decrease the possibility of the flash dump that you will never meet it on the small exchange site. To prevent you get a heart attack. just like liqui, coss and other it seems to be a recommended place for newbie.
The main point is on your patience dude.

Local exchanger is a good idea. I also agree with that because you will trust more upon your local money exchanger than that of the other countries. They may betray you and you will know nothing about your money. Therefore I also suggest starting trading with your local exchanger who will be more familiar to you and you will trust on him. It is also a safe way for you to trade.
