Title: BitInstant Stole My Money
Post by: BitcoinPappi on June 08, 2013, 03:17:33 PM
Hi,

Just to make everyone  is aware Bitinstant  has literally outright stole funds from MtGox during a withdrawl .

I have tried patiently to get a response from their support for over 1 month now. I think it is save to assume that I am simply being ignored. Please do not use their service unless you want to risk losing your money when something goes wrong with their system.

I was not aware of their reputation until I recently started searching the forums.

It would be wonderful if you offered some sort of info which could help me identify your issue or who you are so I can try to help!  Thanks.

Yeah, never had any problems with bitinstant here.  Probably just a mixup.

I have had issues in the past as well, support was able to fix the issue, but it has been a recurring problem. For example being quoted $17.30 (just an example) for a $20 transfer from BTC-E code to Paypal, and receiving $15.40 in paypal. This was months ago, and support did issue a refund, but every time I made similar transactions, the similar error would occur. I don't know if this has been fixed or not, I haven't made a transfer in a few months, but it is an issue I have been experiencing as well. Off of $20, missing $1.50 is nothing huge, but if it was a $2000 transfer it would be more troubling.

You should contact one of the staff from the forums here, they seem to respond much faster. Provide information which they can use to identify the problem. I myself have never had a problem. However, I have heard many others have problems but they always end up getting fixed as far as I have seen.

These threads usually always end up being misunderstandings. I've never had a problem with bitinstant, I've been using them for a little over a year.

Lets hope its just a misunderstanding. Have sent our issue to Garet and will send PM to Ursay as well.  Will post if it gets resolved.

The issue was logged when the transaction took place by reaching out to support@bitinstant.com . I have been getting replies from desk@bitinstant.com. Not sure if they created a ticket. However we can forward all our emails  and responses that we have received to your bitinstant  email address.

Please send me your details via PM
