Title: Is it possible to hit a bitcoin block with a solo miner running at 1khs per sec?

while I accept it may be incredibly unlikely , is it possible ?

Current nethash 130TH/s, one block every 10 minutes, your 1kH/s so chance/10mins = 1k/130T = 1 in 130 billion.
Or 1 in a billion per day. Do you feel lucky, punk?

PS, actually better odds that some lottos. perhaps?

I think it is interesting , after all you have to be in it to win it

I wonder what the lowest khs on a miner has been that found a block

PS I am not mining with just 1khs  ;D

back in the day, i found a block with 1950 hashes/sec.
