  • Just over a third agreed with JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon who said "you'll pay the price" for investing in bitcoin
  • Sixteen percent of the 23,118 people who voted said bitcoin will hit between $6,000 and $8,000

" JPMorgan Chase CEO Dimon has been critical of bitcoin, calling it a "fraud" and said "if you're stupid enough to buy it, you'll pay the price for it one day" "
I think before you pay, you have earned a large sum if all investors at this point.
What do you think about this opinion?

The survey doesn't really say much except that it's pretty easy to spot that BTC is indeed going to 10k USD.  Try changing 10k to 100k USD then let's see who really thinks there's more craziness coming.

A couple of years ago not one regular person outside of the space would say BTC could reach 10k USD.  Maybe only the crazy
ones.  ;D

Surveys are absolutely meaningless. The general public opinion doesn't have any value at all. If the price goes up decently, people expect it to increase further. If the price goes down, they expect it to sink even further. In other words, people here surf the volatility and adjust their sentiment based on that. On top of that, no one who understands Bitcoin needs whatever survey or "expert" analysis to see that the $10,000 level is nothing more than a formality. And then if we do happen to reach there this or next year, it will be nothing more than the next achievement. It's a less than 100% increase from current levels, which by itself is nothing more than peanuts for Bitcoin.

Everytime I read such things , I first regret as to why I rapidly use my Bitcoin as soon I earn them. But then I realized that thinking in such a manner wouldn't matter much . Now we're talking about 10k USD , after a year we might talk about like 15k USD so we can't basically hold for such a long time and make your ambitions wait.

It is important to also "use" Bitcoin though. If you just hold them, the low liquidity can eventually be harmful, but we're not their yet by a long run...
Making people (not only investors) aware of Bitcoin should become one of the priorities in the next years.

It's the problem. Most of the people starting to use including those who started 1 year ago are using cryptos as their investment. Bitcoin is a currency and should be used as a currency. It's not an investment for the retirement or a collectable item.
People hear about Bitcoin as a high ROI in just a few months etc then what people do? They buy bitcoins and hold them and not use it.

Just another banker's negative comments about bitcoin's success. Wouldn't be surprised if that mofo is secretly invested in bitcoin and keep on hiding on his negative remarks to get all the coins he can with his fud. But I admire him on his persistence about the matter and he really stick on to his first remarks and will never change it.

As for the topic, it's a survey; it's what most people think what's gonna happen and there are no analysis involve, just mere guesses of the public and that's all. But it's still likely to happen since some plausible projections I've read also pointed out that we're going to head $10000 either this year or early February, which is great.

I think it can be happen if amazon can accept bitcoin as payment. but this time this is your speculation and there is no assurance that $10,000 will reach before end of this year..
The much more possible to happen that i feel could be reach is around is $7,000 to $8,000 base on my own analysis.
$10,000 is a large amount that i think could be hard to reach but i believe that $10,000 can be happen next year not this year..

to facilitate understanding, it would be good to add this image:

I wonder who these people are and if they know bitcoin and if there really was any survey on the internet they said there were 23,118 people who voted

But it seems to me that they are lying, without offense, but I doubt that 35% would agree with  Jamie Dimon

Well, it is possible to reach $10,000 but not this year. I cant see bitcoin will be heading to that price though currently price is sky rocket. Yes, I am seeing bitcoin possibly will reach at that amount by next year I can predict it will take place.

When and where did they vote? 23K people are not representing the whole 5M+ Bitcoin community mate, 2 more years to the next Bitcoin halving and people

Vote for $6000 and up to $10,000 what would be the results of a voting if you could ask those people about the price after the halving? they are predicting for

A short term, $25000 is not that hard for Bitcoin in 2 years.

I have faith in bitcoin but the 10k prevision is too much optimistic in my opinion,
I think the value will tank in the next months but without crashing.

It is good, but there is nothing special with that survey, we all know the potential that bitcoin has at the moment, so seeing that there is a survey that says that the price will be higher than $10,000 is nothing new in here, a lot of people are predicting that the price will be more than $20,000 in a few years from now.
But yes, there is a long road that we need to travel in, we are so far away from $10,000 at the moment.

I believe like you that bitcoin will touch those said prices but I think it won't in the near future. For now bitcoin will be going down ATM and build momentum again for an upward trend. It will only take a week or two in order for it to recover in current price. Probably bitcoin will hit 6500$ in the next price rally and reach 10000$ slowly but surely.

I agree with you for the most part.

I don't know if the value will tank as much as it will "correct itself." I would be careful in terms of the word tanking simply because I believe that this signifies a drop of more than 1000$ in the Bitcoin price. For me personally, I think we will be hovering somewhere above 5000 at all points even when BTC is at it's low. Buyers will come in when they see an option and whales will be whales...

Well there is nothing special with this survey, because we all know the real potential that bitcoin has to grow, anyway, those kind of news are good to everyone who is investing in bitcoins because it shows us that there is a lot of support from the whole community and from those who still did not invested in bitcoin yet.
But it is too early to say that the price  will be $10k soon, because we are still below $6k and there is more than 80% left to reach those rates.
