Title: Replacement fan for eBit miner Post by: yhingsy on October 20, 2017, 12:41:05 PM Hello, I have an eBit e( miner (6.3Th/s) working away in my garage. The noise, isn't so loud it's an issue but I was wondering if I could change the fan. I found a 12cm fan which I used, but it was no where near man enough for the job. Has anyone succesfully managed to change a fan to something quieter?

You need to have a soundproof cabinet with good ventilation. Title: Re: Replacement fan for eBit miner Post by: leowonderful on October 21, 2017, 01:43:33 AM It's not possible to change the fan for quieter operation because any other fan will not have enough static pressure and/or airflow to cool the miner aquedately, and other possibly suitable fans will be just as loud. Philipma has a YouTube channel where he documents quieting Avalon miners and it'd work for your Ebits as well; it should be cheaper than a soundproofing cabinet. The channel is called Philipma 1957.
