Ethereum Dark was created by amateurs using the famous Ethereum  name ! There was no whitepaper, there was no road map, there was no team, just a shady and unknown developer. It was a clear scam, but the problem is that, when greedy and stupid noobs, heard just a name of something famous, they jumped on it without making any research. This is the clear example how the stupidity and greediness are making scammers reach ! Classic pump and dump scam (See the charts on coinmarketcap https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum-dark/ )  Now another two scams underway from same scam artists called Ethereum Cash and Ethereum Gold.

1. Created and announced by noobs.

2. No team, just unknown and shady developer

3. No white paper, no road map,

4. Threat is heavily spammed by noobs and paid shills (Broken English)

I have the reasons to believe that  Ethereum Cash, Ethereum Gold and Ethereum Blue are created by same scammers !

Honestly speaking why do you people even bother to look into some new coin that appears in the market before doing prior research on it? Is it because everyone here is hungry for free money and willing to grab every airdropped coin like those e-prefix coins that were flooding the forum last 3 weeks?

The name itself derives suspicions because if it was something related to ethereum then the official devs would have confirmed that. Obviously it is a Pump and Dump made by the scammers behind it and the shills that are paid by it.

People who have been with the crypto market for long time now will understand these schemes of scams very easily but the noobs who are easily blinded by vaporware and false claims will fall for it.

You cannot say it's a scam.
EthereumDark has a big number of supporters (in the thousands) behind and it has not proven to be a scam. Also the voice of these supporters is listened by the dev and their opinion taken into account for the various improvements and initiatives.
It is a sh.tcoin maybe (low market capitalization and low volumes), but you're jumping to conclusions too quickly.
There are coins around which do not serve a specific purpose yet exist for long time, look at DogeCoin or BitcoinDark; are they scams? I think not.

Supporters ? No, only paid shills and idiots. Improvements ? No, It's impossible to improve a cheep website with no whitepaper, no developers and with crappy road map ! Are you comparing Bitcoin Dark to Dogecoin and Bitcoin Dark ? If yes you need some more education !    

Ethereum Dark Can be a scam I do not like this kind of chrats ( from 0.5 usd to 5 usd ; then  to 0.5 in few day ) ; Novaexchange adds many shit coins  This last period of rise bitcoin like lcc and ethd ....

And they aren't bought followers, check by yourself on the twitter audit website. Bought followers show as fake running that audit, so it's pointless to use those services.
About Ethereum Dark.. Might look dodgy? Yes. Definitely a sh.tcoin? Oh yes. But there's real people following ETHD and we can't deny that.

You are confirming that ETD is a shitcoin. Then who cares about their followers in Twitter if it is a shitcoin as you mentioned? A lot of shitcoins, pump and dump scheme tokens and scammy ICO's have X10 more real followers on Twitter. So what?

So the title of this thread is rubbish. A scam is not necessarily a shitcoin. A shitcoin is not necessarily a scam.
Shitcoin means low trading transactions and low market capitalization. Scam means something being sold for what it's not and then developers leave the project altogether and the investors are left with a handful of flies.
You can't say ethereum dark is a scam.

That's true and I also support this one . It just some problems when it comes to value  but Im still positive to see the value of this one to pump :)

I don't support it particularly; I think the whole community is made of people who want quick easy money and most of them are eventually gonna get screwed in the process (with ETHD or the next one).
Just saying ETHD hasn't """"YET"""" demonstrated to be a complete scam so shouldn't be called like that because in my view as long as a project has a community + dev team who are alive, we can't talk about scam.

This project looked interesting, but the rise to $5+ was just ridiculous. It's too difficult to tell what is real or not in crypto. Hard to make judgement calls either way. Also OP how can you criticize the team of broken english when your own OP is filled with broken english?

It seems much of tokens that called as well known cryptocurrency are just leave litter on the ethereum blockchain, for example eth gold, eth cash, eth dark, eth unlimited etc. Also as dash gold, dash cash, dash prime etc. I agree that they have nothing to do with ethereum codebase and just created to selling on Etherdelta with pump and dump scheme, that`s about it and nothing new.

I guess that is how most of the scams who operate in this forum are going about. They open a thread about some shitcoin airdrop with no team backing it neither and whitepaper, roadmap or and goal in mind. They promote it on every other social media in the world and the greedy shitposters simply join the airdrop to spread as much filth as they can across every platform that you can think of. The team even "rewards" these shitposters with shitcoins.

Isnt that funny? rewarding shitposters with shitcoins? I think it serves them right.


Well most scams that act wont reveal their scamming methods unless it is too late or there has not been any blindfolded investor who have bought a large volume of the shitcoin. Most probably after such an incident, there will be a huge dump and the devs will run away from the internet. ;D

I kinda feel sorry for the people who genuinely thought that they should invest.

sometimes i think why dev pay the fee to cryptopia to list ethd on it after 1.5 month of its dev disappearance.. may be dev team working silently on the project. but the people made a handsome amount who get this token from airdrop..the price was around 5$ and its much pretty that time.. dumpers lucky on this coin :p
on the other hand investors are regreting who bought them at high price..

To attract potential customers to invest in their project after shitloads of spamming on social media about how this new coin (read shitcoin) will revolutionize the crypto economy and come to the top beyond bitcoin. Also they promised their ardent bounty hunters to be able to trade the coin after they got their shitdrops in the beggar hands.
Most devs are silent about future work and slowly release more news. But tell me honestly is there any dev/human being at all or it is just vaporware?

I traded ethdark without doing any research... good thing i came out with a profit... now its being dumped.. currently at 0.0000265252 BTC... or $0.23...

Seems like this has been the recent trend in the pump and dump schemes happening. More so after the bitcoin forking with the word "cash" there has been more shitcoins with the names ethereumcash litecoincash and so one. Also the flux of those e-prefix coins are no good either. Another new one that caught my eye the other was EthereumBlue LMAO.

Well some people do manage to make profit off the pump by dumping. However then the people who arrive after that will buy at low price and no one knows where to shitcoin goes to.

So many scam coins now a days. I always figure it out when the name of the coin is starts with Ethereum. Is their a way to stop those scammers? They should be gone they don't do good for the community.

it was such a waste because he could have earned more millions if it weren't dumped. he's a very suspicious developer, i don't think he could very well gain trust again. and there is another abi19 who created ETHD Waves (its ETH yet WAVES) seem aimed to also do the same thing.

If you do some research, you will see they are a team of vietnamiens, ans they share photo of their team (7-8 people) on the telegram groupe every day...
