Dashcoin[DMG] is a fork of the original Dashcoin and uses the unique algorithm CryptoNote.

Specifications

• Algorithm: CryptoNote (https://cryptonote.org/inside.php#equal-proof-of-work)
• Block time: 120 seconds (2 minutes)
• Difficulty retargets each block
• Block reward decreases each block according to the formula:
  BaseReward = (MSupply - A)/2¹⁸,  where MSupply = (2⁶⁴ - 1) atomic units and 'A' is amount of already generated coins
• One coin is divisible down to 8 decimal places (divisible up to 10⁸)
• Total coins: 18 446 744 atomic units (= 18.446 Million DSH)

Mirror image is better than self sustained fork
The reason is simple - costs. Self sustained forks demand a lot of development time, if you want to build a well maintained cryptocurrency.
If the network grows, the required development time is likely to grow too.
A simpler, and less costly way to maintain a network with high reliability is to create a self mutating copy of it.
Mutating copy is a simple copy of the original source, mutating every time the original source mutates.

removed the DSH "reference spam" on the top of the OP as noted by mod...

i guess the reference on the second post will suffice to explain the history of this fork and from what coin it came from....though I think there is a need to put the "information about the fork" reference where it is, to make it clear that this is a fork by getting attention being on top.

now when will a exchange pick dsh back up and which chain will they pick up can anyone answer those questions for me

LOL, after DASH Green, which has been warned as scam one, the Dashcoin Minergate has lots of things to do in order to catch attention of miners and investors.
Because, there is at least one another reason is in the crypto world, there are abundantly massive coins with Cryptonote/ Cryptonote-forked algorithms coins.
The Dash Coin Minergate should be innovative to be attractive.
