From your name seems to me you are from India. Go for zebpay or Unocoin in India. If you want a privatekey wallet then go for mycelium wallet. I wont ever suggest coinbase myself.

So far i've been using Electrum, i don't like web wallets because you don't own the private keys, so I suggest you to check this out https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet) and get your own conclusions.

Good choice on not holding your BTC on coinbase. only use those services for buying, not for holding.

Since no one linked this yet...

Not a good idea to hold bitcoin on a wallet where you don't have access to your private keys. Only use those services for buying and selling, not for holding.

The best coin wallet is depends on your country's top Bitcoin wallet because it is tailored wherein it includes all like paying electricity bill, water bill, insurance, etc. Here in the Philippines, I'm using Coins.ph. as my wallet which I can use more than a wallet like what I mentioned above.

I know everyone tends to say their preference for wallets its exactly that a Preference I am very new to crypo and have done a lot of research and played with a number of differently wallets available for my device. I know a friend who had suggested Bread, its the most simple wallet I have used but I am sure others have their opinions. It also supported BCH fork and supports BTG fork as well.

XAPO is your ordinary webwallet, there is no multisignature, the sitecode is NOT open source, their service is slow.

They support some kind of credit card for bitcoins i think?

Quote
The Company also supports a prepaid debit card system that is compatible with most PoS systems and Bitcoin ATM's.

And i believe that in the past, they used to promote offchain transactions inbetween the userbase of their wallet alot.

Not sure if that's still possible, haven't used/checked them in awhile. It's a webwallet afterall, and i'd suggest against using it, personally.

Electrum lets you control the fee amount yourself. You can set it any amount you want, unlike coinbase, where unless you sent them to gdax, you can't, and you will be overcharged for fees.

So yea, electrum is not only better in terms of fees, but also in security, YOU actually own the keys.

The Safest Bitcoin wallet is Hardware wallet.A hardware wallet is a special type of bitcoin wallet which stores the user's private keys in a secure hardware device. But is is too expensive to buy. Otherwise you can use use web wallet, desktop wallet etc. some desktop wallet are safer than web wallet. It does not mean web wallets are risk.  :) :)

Hardware wallets are the best e.g. ledger. I use exodus and thats pretty good. Just make sure to not have your password or passphrase written down on your computer somwhere. Why not coinbase? I heard its the best because its the only one thats insured meaning if it gets hacked you will get your money back I think

i would like to prefer electreum, coinbase, bittrexx and mcap and blockchain also best and secure wallets so you have to invest in to this wallets. they can provide more secure to your bit coins. and keep hold it few years then you get profit. these all sites are good for using so try to use this wallets. if you not like that wallets then try to use wen wallets. they are more secure compare to other wallets.

Hi sir, i'm also from the Philippines, i have coin.ph wallet. they said that while I'm a newbie rank i must stake my wallet address in this forum for security and future purposes. But can you teach me how to put signature using  coin.ph wallet? or do i need to use another bitcoin wallet for me to sign my bitcoin wallet address? Thank you

Personally I use the wallet from blockchaininfo.

There are many options to secure your own wallet and creating it doesn't take much time.

I am using both Blockchain and Poloniex.  Poloniex because a friend recommended it.  I find it hard to understand and I will have to have my friend show me around on sunday.  BlockChain is really easy to understand and nicely setup for me here in North America.

I do have a problem on sync up times etc.  I am using Simpleminer under their free startup system and have had it running on and off for a few days now.  I have been up for the last 24 hours making Eth. only.  My question is this.  Although I have been only going at 133 MH rate, which I know is pretty slow, I was still expecting to see at least 0.00000000001 Eth. coin in my account.  I have zero.  One person who is not too up on this said they will only pay into my account at times and not continually and that is why I have nothing in the account.  Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong or if it just takes this long to get any deposit.  I do not want to be running my rig, and making zero on it.  I would rather correct this problem before I go any further. It all looks like it is running well but if it is not making any money then I need a cheaper way to heat the house.  :)  thanks for any reponses.   I will check back tomorrow.

I would suggest to choose Litecoin for your bitcoin wallet because it is an open source, global payment network that is fully decentralized without any central authorities. Litecoin features faster transaction confirmation times and improved storage efficiency than the leading math-based currency. Litecoin is a proven medium of commerce complementary to Bitcoin.

you should really consider moving your funds the other way around, with some wallet backups for your hardware wallets. you might like the convenience of an online wallet service, but that gives you that much less control of your funds. in addition, if you lose or forget your password to these services, your coins are essentially lost for good, although the same holds true for an encrypted hardware wallet. but the main point is that you place your trust in these services, and are at risk if they decide to just up and run. one of the bigger inconveniences, however, is reliability; if the service provider's servers happen to go down, you cannot access your coins until they become available again.

Cold storage is the best and the safest. You can try core if the size doesn't matter or simply electrum easy and light.
If you want something available everywhere at any time then you can try Blockchain info or something similar that you can find on bitcoin org.

I assume that you don't have many bitcoins so you don't need to buy a hardware wallet. If I were you I wouldn't use web wallets. They are too dangerous because you don't own your private keys. I would consider using Electrum which allows to manage your own private keys. It's way harder to steal and import them if they are encrypted.
