Title: [Your opinion] Advisors in ICO - whom you trust
Post by: Helga.Alekseyuk on October 22, 2017, 07:04:34 PM
Hey hey, Crypto people!

I am curious about your opinion, who are the significant advisors for an ICO?

Do you mean roles that need filling in the project? or do you mean who do we trust in recent/current ICOs?

Hello,

I don't really fully understand what you mean.
If you mean who can advise you when you're thinking of trying to build your own Initial Coin Offering, then I dare suggest you don't work in that direction at all.
In order to issue a coin offering with any embedded value and any hope of really serving those who decide to purchase the tokens you give them for their ETH or BTC, then you already have to have a really good idea, and just as much, you need to have an exceptionally talented tech team on board.

Without these there's no way forward.
The tech team is just as difficult to put together as the business team promising to achieve the results set forth in the white paper.
At PROSUME.io we didn't need any advisory. We had it in house.
I think ICO advisory could even be an interesting business but it doesn't really exist today.

If I haven't answered your question please feel free to contact me
All the best

i thinks most of ico puts advisors pictures only for marketing!

there is no real advisory in the most of projects today!

among all projects in cryptoworld, only cofound.it (http://cofound.it) offers coaching and advising teams to grow and transit into serious business!

I personally really like coins that have Vitalik Buterin on the advisors list, fenbushi capital is a good investment partner as well.

I look for a team with skilled devs, no anonymous devs, proven poc or solid whitepaper, no threads full of newly registered accounts.

By advisors I'm pretty sure you mean adviser aka. people with websites/blogs/youtube channels that gives us info/advice us poor crypto people about ICOs and such ?
The only person I trust is myself lol, imo all these YT guys and self proclaimed gurus are a huge NO. Never watched them and I've never followed their advice.

Basically nobody because advisers are paid to be there and as a result how can you trust what they say? Unless they have actually invested in the project themselves and can prove so I would say dont believe the big name

advisers. I was a fool and fell for these tricks once, never again.

vitalik buterin as he will not waste any of his precious time on things not strategically important for ethereum and cryptocurrency. I also look out for fenbushi capital as vitalik is part of it as well, but recent Enigma ICO doesn't seem to go very well even with Fenbushi as a investor. I also like vinny as well from a business advisor point of view

Buterin, Charlie Lee and any of the old guard. Key bit is, how to tell if they're real advisors of an ICO or not :)

Make sure you check the source when they say X big name is an advisor as most the time it's bs.
