I just checked poloniex.com and the current value of 1 doge is .00000016 sats or no dollar value at all. Is is worth investing now or this currency is on its verge of disappearing from the crypto market?

some people said the dev is left this coin ,,
and maybe this is the main causes why the price is going down, and have no dollar value

The doge project was never going anywhere. Its inception was based on a meme/joke and something for people to have fun with, it had no goal to make it big or even survive this long... Right now there are much better coins that can do what Doge does and even better.

I agree. Although they have established a good reputation in the beginning. However, it was abandoned and just used to deposit to some sites that accepts it for gambling purpose. It has gained some prominence like 6 months ago, when it became as one of the alternatives coins to used for gambling because that time bitcoin confirmation and transaction fee is too high. But since bitcoin has somewhat solved its issue by the fork, Doge just died down and lost into oblivion up to now.

Doge unit was meant to be insignificant. There are just too billions of them in circulation

Sadly I'm pretty sure that the project that is Doge coin is dead as of now :/, I think it's more of a joke than anything serious.

A doge coin will never be worth 1 dollar each. There are too many coins and to have 1 worth 1 dollars, the market cap would need to be 111 billion dollars.

Hard to speculate. Maybe I will try to look at it and see if its worth to put some investment on it.


Maybe after the bitcoin gold fork investors will likely choose this coin to be pump. What we can all do is just monitor specially for those who are a bag holders of this one. Because once its been pump, before sold your stash and get out while you can and not be trap for a long time.

I think doge coin was never a serious project. Though it became a really big one. I don't think doge dev left. Why will he? Current price drop is due to the bitcoin prices going up. See digibyte came down at 145 from 430. Every coin is taking a beat because of bitcoin prices.

In trading, doge had a lot of potential since in poloniex even an increase of 0.00000001 BTC is enough to gain considerable profit. Downside is you also lose significantly if it goes down.

That is so sad :(. When this happens to a coin or to the company who's handling the coin then this will really happen. It will just go up right now if there would be a new dev that will continue the growth of this coin.

From a pure prosperity perspective it's sad, but honestly, this coin was meant as a joke from the beginning and it served its purpose.  It's not like hundreds of people are looking for work now because this company is closing its doors.

Too bad i know some friends keeping doge worth .20 btc hoping that it would increase soon. I guess bitcoin is overpowering all the other cryptocurrencies thats why some are depreciating quickly.

This is normal. Doge released with a high supply. With the current price, you can earn more Doge. Normally, I use DOGE coin to replace Bitcoin delivery to save cost and time. Doge is still the best and will rise in time.

Doge coin was designed to be a joke but I will still pick it over many projects in the top 100 marketcap, as long as there is decent daily trading volume it is still a good buy, this is one of the problem with most of these coins with high inflation rate the dump is always huge

Doge is a doge very slow growth and lazy coin in my looking because doge price is not up but  it's continuously dump.Now price is nothing $0.000989.That's why i don't like doge coin.

I don't think so since the current volume is huge but I don't know why how the holders take to hold there doge coins while the value of it keeps decreasing day by day and it seems that the doge will die soon and the value of it became 0 but let see how the holders counter it since I'm little bit sure that they would not let there holded coin die since they will lost there money if that thing will came.
