Title: Problem with multibit - please help
Post by: semaforo on June 10, 2013, 03:18:26 AM
Hi, I'm getting some strange behavior with multibit. I just installed mac os x on my macbook after having compatibility issues with ubuntu, with which I was using electrum.

First, I sent 4 BTC, and it worked fine.

Then, trying to finance a sell on localbitcoins.com, when I copy and paste the transaction it shows up like this

This was three days ago, and still not seen in chain?

Also, my balance shows up as 48.584269 BTC, but I have only ever deposited just under 45 BTC to this wallet! Of the 48 BTC balance, underneath it says the available balance is 40.9148, which is exactly the original balance minus the 4 BTC I sent.

Any ideas what might be going on? Do I need to resend the transaction that was not registered on the chain? What do I do about the weird balance/available balance issue?

 Any help is much appreciated!

In the help there is a section - in Support - for if you send a transaction and it gets stuck on 'Seen by 1 peer'. Have a read through that.
