Waves blockchain is very good. It is still not as popular as Etherium or NEO, but it is getting more known. How difficult is it to make a waves node?

All very good to hear, but WAVES need to just continue focus on building good product that gets even better with time. A few people are only using the Waves platform and they already know how good it is and how better it will become. Do not worry about the price being bullish or bearish for now. Just keep it at current pace. I have my Waves in red now but I am never worried. 2018 and 2019, I am ready.

Waves are a lot of people trust and good evaluation with good technology, enthusiastic dev team and skilled. However, it does not seem to get the proper value, not like Eth or Neo. I can not understand either.

Should i keep my Waves then? this is really promising. WAVES also has their own built in DEX which is very easy to use, exchange/trading is never been that easy!. I should keep an eye on their road map, by this promising features, i will expect another uptrend to WAVES price. I think they should launch another batch of Marketing, I hope a lot of bitcoiners will give some attention to Waves.

whales kept it down, all the features are new or wip, it takes time to have an effect on the market, this gives us a long acumulation time to load up on waves, it beats ethereum on every way once it has working smart contracts thats just a fact

It has recovered from 0.0006BTC to 0.0007BTC wow.
Well, I will start to be on a happier tone when it recovers at lest to 0.0012BTC, which about is half of WAVES ATH.
While I know that WAVES has a good potential, the investors don't agree with me. Maybe the development is still slower than they'd expect (or than promised).

Waves most likely is the next ETH. It might even surpass the latter since updates enables it to probably go on par with bitcoin, and the chance of it overtaking ETH is huge. Soon we might see waves price going to the moon and beyond after the planned updates has been releasd and it is wise to buy more while price is cheap. It is also good to hold it and add it to portfolio, it will surely give massive profits to anyone who have it later on. The long awaited waves massive price increase might happen soon.

Every altcoins are going up now. The value of Waves will surely grow bigger. We need to wait. Look at what happened to ZenCash which is a new coin (not very old coin). Everything is possible. We need to be patient.

I do believe that WAVES is a good project.
But I cannot dance around in happiness about mega bullish trend when WAVES quotation is very far from where it should be. (edit: and pretty far from where it was not long ago)
And I also start to get tired of "if it's falling it's a good time to buy too".
Maybe it's not my most optimistic day, but it's not only that, as you can see...

I think waves will see a good price in 2018 but to compare it to Ethereum seems foolish. When I rub my magic ball I see 18$ in 2018 february.

I wouldn't call it the next ethereum since they are very different projects but I do really like waves and what it offers.  They have their own built in decentralized exchange, which is becoming increasingly relevant. With all the upcoming project updates on the roadmap, i expect this project to continue growing and more people adopting.

For sure, Waves is one of best crypto projects out there. Took some time, but Waves is strog. I thing, is few more hiden crypto Projects on market, with same potential bring something new to crypto, I like personaly also DECENT and WINGS.

Waves has strong fundamentals inside. If the waves platform would be from the China/Japan/Australia/South Korea or any other bitcoin-friendly country they would be much higher in the price. But waves is from Russia. I mean the CEO of waves. There is not so much support for it. They can't promote agressivly in the Russia. And I think it is one of the most undervalued coins in the top20-30  I think it's good time to buy the DIP for the altcoins. And I will buy waves also.

As rightly pointed out, the roadmap that it has is exceptional and it already has a proven track record of both token released and improvements.

I think that if you keep Waves long-term then you probably should. Simple tokenization option is what can lead it to success. However, I think the creator of the coin doesn't look very trustworthy and smart, so perhaps it is a con in a way.
I think that every new overcome is harder than the previous one. Bitcoin didn't have anything to overcome except perhaps fiat in a way and it is still #1. Ethereum was a serious step forward after bitcoin, because it was the first to make escrow-free trustworthy system which is smart contracts. Now, the problem with Waves is that it has to make a huge step forward after ethereum to at least come close to it. And, even though it managed to make some improvements, I think nothing big enough is offered by Waves yet.
That's why I believe Waves will grow in price with time but it is not likely to even overcome ethereum or even become #3 after btc and eth.

Maybe now its look bad but waves are will be good in future ( 2018-2019 ). That's it a long term investment so it is not bullshi

Hope this happen as I have huge values of wave token assets that I have been praying for it increasing. I do believe that wave blockchain technology is very nice and it is good to be used in raising funds. If this well roadmap is well implemented, then I expect wave to go as high as 100* before end of next year.

Maybe waves is one of the best altcoins that are on the market right now, but honestly, it doesnt have the required usage to be one of the best. The only website in where Waves is being hyped is in here, i doesnt know why, but it's ATH was about $5,80 a few months ago, and now it is not even $3,70 each waves, that is crazy, if i am not wrong, it was more than six dollars, but i dont know.
They probably have one of the best technologies, but it is not being appreciated, and that means no growth.

Looking forward to seeing this project overtake some other ETH clones, from what I'm seeing Waves actually has users already unlike some of the other clones out there.

I'll be happy if it will go back to it's highest price which is 0.002 ++, I still have my waves and will keep it until the price of WAVES touched that price. Agreed to the part of what you said that the development is still slower, the Browser lite add on have some  features which is not yet finished and WAVES lite app on android crashes when you view your order and sell history. Still I am patient and hopeful for this Coin.

WAVES is of the few coins not hardly pumped yet that is strong supported by fundamentals and can be around for a long time so everyone should consider counting on it for your long term portfolio, unless you are a speculator/gambler that go only for the short term risky bets.

It could go up - however, WAVES will have a lot of competitors such as Ethereum and NEO who are themselves pretty good projects that are working towards greater scalability. So WAVES has to work extra hard to gain community attention.

The price has been down a lot since the ATH for WAVES though, meaning that a pump should be incoming soon.

good question, this is a point most people dont understand, there are different ways to get "income" from a coin, most have a block reward share, that means every block lets say 10 waves get created and u get 1 of them, its a static reward.
projects like waves or neo, have a transactionfee share mechanism, means u get a part of ALL the transactions, similar to masternodes, but the downside to masternodes is the transactions are kind of useless because no one really pays with crypto (yet!)
a huge decentral marketplace + ico generator like waves has alot of transactions, and those will increase exponentially, so if you hold a node or lease out ur waves, ur income will get more and more in the future, this has potentially not rly a max cap, since we are at 3% crypto adoption

when people talk about bubbles they compare crypto to real world assets, which is not logical. when we are at 95% crypto adoption rate you can start to talk about overpriced

Waves node reduced to 1000 Waves is not a good idea I think. Other than that all updates are useful and give Waves a massive boost. I think it's bullish in long term but I'm not sure about short term. I think we have plenty of time to get more Waves. Maybe next year we can see a new rally. This year it already made a rally in May.

WAVES has a really good potential. One year from now on will be good enough to see its potential, require a lot of patience before it goes to the moon.

Waves is really a coin worth holding at this moment as it will obviously experience a mega boost with the current development.

It may not be as common as Ethereum, since we cannot apparently discard the first movers advantage of ethereum, however, there is so much development coming up for it and this would make it boom. And this last dip was just a very good time to buy cause that would even usher more profit in the long run.

Waves development is going really good. And value is not increasing paralelly with development. It gives a chance to the people that follow the project closely to collect more waves.

The devs are really doing a good job and they are fighting hard to make it extremely relevant even more than ETH, and if they can break that point, then I won't be surprised when we start having a huge threat most especially for ETH.

With the greater increase in transaction capacity and if businesses finds it as a better alternative and a more attractive option, then the ride is on. Patience!

I got to agree that there are some better than Ethereum, tech wise, platform wise etc. But no ETH won't die. They are first to market and what we often see in economics is that the first to market has an advantage, simply because they're first. They might lose some of the market share to others but overall summing everything up in that category they will relatively hold the largest market share. Now this industry is quite new so some historical events might not replay accurately as what we're used to.

Market share in 2020: (example)

Ethereum 30%, Waves 15%, Lisk, 10%, Stratis 20%, Neo 20%, all others combined 5%.

As you can see Ethereum's market share sharply declined but remains dominant relatively to others. So this is just a little example that shouldn't be taken serious except for the point it try's to illustrate. And yes I know I left out some like Qtum, again just an example to illustrate.

Waves need to be at least 20$ in my opinion.
It is still very undervalued.
They have working Decentralized exchange and organized few successful ICO.
Personally i like waves most over many cryptocurrencies.
I think it is a very good opportunity to pick some waves before it explodes.

Yes, Waves currently less active in terms ICO. Although this isn't a factor that causes its value to weaken. Waves need a fresh idea in order to appear shining like some time ago. Now more ICOs are based ETH contract.

Their team is celebrating the hallowen, but when it comes to the work, they only make simple announcements. Big investors of waves are sick of this slow progress. They're leaving it.

I pray this should happen and happen very soon as I have some value of wave that I want to dispose off!  Wave bullish market will serious been to many of us favor. I expected this bullish momentum to commence since the beginning of this months but it did not happen because of the news from Russia that bitcoin and others cryptocurrency can be used for fraud and wave is a Russian coin.  The last time I checked wave was below $4 and I believe a good pump will take wave above $8 before end of this year.

Still hoping that the price of WAVES will recover, in terns of feature i do really love waves i can trade and exchange easily with that being said the future of waves is still bright and im still looking forward from it. This is going to be a big year for Waves. We will be partying several weeks from now. The price of Waves has already gone up to almost $5. This is going to go on until around $7 before this year 2017 will finally close. There are no worries about a bit slower growth for Waves. This is not a problem. Sudden spike up means sudden fall as well. Waves is consistent and stable enough to stay away from these negative movements. 

Waves train is going to start moving right next month we will see so many good news about Waves next year. It is definitely on same level with Ethereum but its icos and tokens were really lame until now.

Waves is definitely a stong platform, the most significant thing about Waves when compared to Ethereum is that Waves can process way more transactions than Ethereum, but this comes with a price of course. They've made it easy to create coins but the adoption is still very low, people prefer to build their own from scratch using Ethereum and therefore Waves become "unusable". The thing about Waves is that it has a great community and many believes who contribute to the project one way or another. Ethereum is already so big that there is no substantial communication between the various teams, the most imporant thing though is that Ethereum is evolving at a different pace when compared to Waves. They will integrate PoS soon and make transactions completely anonymous using Zsnarks, something that Waves has no intention (to my best knowledge) of doing.

Waves is strong, but the assets on Waves is very plain, many projects die there like Entel, Starta and so forth, all exchanges except tidex don't like enable waves assets trading.

Definitely speculative, but still positive news. I've always been a fan of waves.. Might consider buying some for the heck of it (don't follow that kind of thinking).

You're asking if the price of Waves will every be around $6700?  I highly doubt it but the amount that will make those happy who buy at the current price is much lower than that.  Many will be excited to see Waves hit $20 or more and that could possibly happen once Waves NG is released on mainnet.

You might have to wait a little while for you to see any drastic results because the coin is not backed by the people who have a bunch of BTC.

I just want to ask the guys here. Any news or updates about the current DEX site of waves. When would will be the implementation of the new DEX site? Will it affect current user login base? I don't want to suddenly have login issues once the website changes and would be able to accept the current cookies that were saved.

It's bullish since this March. Finally it's over $5 again, like it was in first pump in this Summer. If they upgrade DEX this rally can continue. I have Waves investment just like everybody else, I have high expectations. But if price goes down again I see it as buying opportunity.

The source of this high expectation is surely linked to WAVES NG upgrade. It will be really fast once NG is ready on waves blockchain and I cannot wait to see this. Only one negative aspect here, there is still few people using the platform. This need to be more than the current number.

Ah, finally, the update I have been waiting for. And not because I think the current ui is bad, in fact to me it is already one of the best around IF not the very best. It will be very interesting to see exactly how it will improve, because to be honest I cannot really think of improvements to a UI that is already fast, cheap, quick and beautiful.

But yes, I really, really hope the DEX can attract more traders. If that finally comes to fruition, we will see such a spurt of growth. But Waves at $10 is already wonderful,,, just wish I did not buy at 90000+ satoshis!

All I've been waiting for 6 months is the new DEX design. Because the current one is very old fashion and its user interface is really weak honestly. That's why it can't reach real traders like other DEX projects.

When they overcome this problem, the price will be really bullish for waves.

I don't envision a big dip, it terms of BTC pair WAVES is still half of what it was a few months ago. As the releases happen over this month and into Q1 the price is only going to rise and hopefully outpaces BTC growth.
