Title: Newbie Mining Rig Advice Post by: de704 on June 10, 2013, 06:15:17 PM I guess I'm a Newbie so I have to post this here.
----------------------------------------------- I am considering building a GPU Mining rig (Yes i know about ASICs). My question is.... How much is a Nvidia GTX-680 over a Diamond AMD 7950? Is there a better graphics card I should be looking at to build a GPU mining rig? Can either of there cards be linked together? for instance... if I want to buy another card of the same type in the future. And what type of cooling would be good? And try water cooling, it's a little more expensive but works if it gets too hot.

You'll get the same hashrate on Windows 7 or a Linux distro. Thanks in advance, de704 Air cooled 7950s are the way to go. You'll need PCI-E risers if you want to put more than 3 onto any reasonably priced motherboard. |
