F.A.Q. and troubleshoot

  What is the purpose of this coin?
  The purpose of the coin is to be the staking version of bitcoin.  The whole network is stabilized and supported by users who hold the coins
  (stakeholders), and receive rewards just for holding the coins and staking the network.

  How do I add nodes?
   1. You must download the wallet, open it and then close it.
   2. Go to your %appdata% folder (just type %appdata% into the Windows Explorer address bar)(/home/username/.bitcoinstake/bitcoinstake.conf for Linux)
   2. Create file called bitcoinstake.conf
   4. Open the bitcoinstake.conf file with Notepad and copy&paste the nodes(below) into the file.
  5. Again start the wallet and wait for it to be synced.

  How to stake coins?
   1) First you need a balance, to stake.
   2) Leave your wallet open, don't spend your coins.
   3) You can reserve certain amount of coins to stake, under "settings > options" in wallet GUI
   4) Coins start staking after holding for 100 blocks.  Passively.

  How I can run a Node?
        -If you have your wallet open and are connected to the internet, you are running a node.

  Why I didn't Receive my Airdrop Coins?

   1) You're a newbie account.
   2) You did not PM a valid BitcoinStake address
   3) You did not PM at all.
   4) Your account name is already on the spreadsheet (shame on you).


If the starting supply is 14.7 million, and the max supply is 21 million, does that mean PoS ends in 4 years?  What happens after that?  Will stakers still earn transaction fees?

yep, total coin supply will reach 21 million coins in PoS phase, and after that just transaction fees.

regarding the waves token, what does this mean for the coin?

coin still same as always...it's the only way to get listed on Waves Dex exchange....trading might be different since there is no staking.

If nobody wants to trade on waves, it's fine...it's just another option for BCS.

the coin on waves has no impact on original coin blockchain...it's just another token that's on DEX, separate from wallet staking coins.

Too much confusion...decided to delete the Waves tokens and forget about it.

there is no coin swap.  BCS on waves has been cancelled, too much confusion.  Everything else stays same, as if nothing happened.  Coins in wallet and staking still same

So the waves BCS we got is no longer valid? Is there an announcement about this somewhere to clear up the confusion? So if this is correct the original wallet i have with my BCS in it is the one being used again? If so i will start staking again.

just pretend the waves was never created and use the coins as normal...staking in your wallet.

wallet is staking fine and blocks still being mined as normal...orphaned blocks is also possible with staking.

it should average out, so just keep your wallet open and keep staking

all i am getting is conflicted blocks, all day, on both (!!!) bitcoinstake and usdstake. it looks like i am not the only one. what should we do?

Go into the Debug window under the help tab. Chose the console tab and type in repairwallet. I hope that will help.

first thing that came to mind - no fix. it looks like something else since pool miners having same problem and another 'stake token acts same way.
