Title: TRUSTED EXCHANGES
Post by: Bittalk12 on October 25, 2017, 07:41:03 AM
May I have a list of website of altcoin exchanges your are using or your most trusted exchanges? So far, I already had my business with Bittrex and Bithumb. They have awesome security before I log in my account.

the most common website and most popular for trading is Coinbase. Coinbase has the highest customer count and they are fairly reliable, their technology is quite advanced and you can definitely see that in the process of registering users, for example KYC process is done completely automatically and that really helps with the faster processing of customer requests. By being the largest exchange currently, you'll enjoy other benefits such as low spreads and high liquidity (which will overal reduce your costs), that's a US based firm and is mainly focused on the US market. If you are talking about trading, the liqui.io is quite good. They always list the lastest coins and they have by far the highest variety available than any other exchange, the fees thesmselves are quite low as well, but by listing each and every coin you are not sure which one's are "legit". The other "negative" thing is that with low liquidity comes high volatility, which can make trading tricky.

https://bitfinex.com   -   has been hacked in the past, but trusted nonetheless. Just don't leave your funds for more than an hour. IOTA support.

I am using many and few with good security features are;
1. Bittrex
2. poloniex
3. Hitbtc
4. yobit
5. c-cex

Bittrex is my first choice and if you will provide them few of your personal documents with 2fa enabled, you can enjoy very high daily limits.

Apart from the ones already mentioned I've had good experience with cryptopia.co.nz so far. Not sure how much I would trust them past trading some of the lesser known alts though.

Kraken.com also has a small but fine selection of alts and is fairly trustworthy. However they've been suffering from performance issues lately.

Yo-Bit sometimes holds coins on exchange which aren't actually approved by the respective Coins, and sometimes there are a lot of instances where there where coins with same Symbols were traded( It happened with Omisego(OMG)).

I usually trust Binance, Cryptopia, Hitbtc and Bittrex.

Really? "TRUSTED EXCHANGES"

We all use these exchange because we do not have choices, all exchange has serious problems, ignore their clients, steal money from their customers and close their clients' accounts. But how people need to trade are forced to use these exchange, but unfortunately one or two exchange had few problems with their customers.

see that these exchange earn so much money but there are no physical office with phone number for you to call and complain when you have a problem

No any centralized exchange platform can be trusted as all of them are just like ticking bomb which can explode anytime (can get hacked). There were numerous hack before and it is likely to get another one anytime soon. So I will say no any exchange platform can be trusted but as we don't have any good decentralized trading platform, we don't have any other choice than using some of the old trading platforms like bittrex and poloniex.

In the past I used Yobit and Poloniex. At the moment i am using Bitfinance as I use their lending feature. Looking to use Etherdelta as it seems to have largest list of ethereum tokens but seems complicated to begin with for begginers.

If you had asked me that question a month ago i would have answered you with my list of trusted exchanges but today I am not so sure that you can call any exchange trusted. Either there are lots of FUD going on or there are really big issues with exchanges, lately I've been reading lots scam accusations against almost every single exchange, I don't know anymore which exchange should I trust with my money.

I actually use various exchangers for trading, but so far the exchanger that has satisfied me especially about security I think is Bittrex, others exchanger like poloniex, yobit, c-cex or others are good though but i got a problem with their service but not a big deal so so I do not categorize them as a favorite . Well, we should select exchanger not based on popularity but must be based on security because we trust people to hold our money.

I've never heard of Hibtc. There were some accusations against Yobit so I wouldn't put it on the list of the most trusted exchanges. Same as poloniex which i've been using with no problems but there were people who had clashed with their support and had trouble withdrawing their money.
There was a thread about Bittrex blocking accounts too.

I go for Bittrex, Binance and ShapeShift. These three are the most exchanges I used to trade altcoins, but sometimes I also trade on HitBTC and Cryptopia whenever I want to exchange my tokens that I received from the bounty campaigns here.

Indeed, people use exchanges due to have no other choices, but there are some which better compare to some exchanges.
So far, I'm just using bittrex to trade altcoins, no problem at all even store bitcoin in there for months, still be able to access it. Although they charge high fees to withdrawal. But, for daily transaction, I've been using local exchange in my country, easily to trade and convert crypto into fiat currency. That's why some people prefer to use Coinbase, Bitfinex, Bithumb or Bitflyer due to easily to deposit and withdrawal through local banks services.

Don't look for trusted exchanges as most of them are working just for the profit, to get customers and to build their reputation. All of them have flaws and bad things about their service but don't look at it because they also have the advantages for using them. There is only one reminder that I want you to remember, just don't use yobit they are the most pissing exchange of all. They has one of the most poor support when it comes to answering and helping their customers complains.

Personally, I think this trusted exchange doesn't really exist at the moment, as you maybe satisfied on a particular exchange today but who knows if you will still be on the coming days. Just look at some popular exchanges today, they have great reviews in the past but its not the case now. In short don't trust any exchanges and always set precautionary measures. Op should just look for legit ones.

Exchanges are naturally looking for profits as they are a business after all, it'll be weird if they're not. Its just that some of them doesn't value their customers.

Right now, I'm only using Bittrex and Cryptopia as my main exchanges where I process all my trading sessions. Both of them are experiencing high surge of incoming users and they are really making an effort to accommodate them in every request that they submit. I have no problem with them, so far. They have security features that are really needed in an exchange and should be present to all of the cryptoexchanges out there.

But, always take in mind that these exchanges may run (with your money) at any moment without any announcement. Manage your account properly and don't let your funds sleep with them for a long period of time. Always withdraw your funds and store them to a wallet where you control the private key.

Maybe you can add hitbtc to your trusted exchange list, both your exchange list is good, but if you have time, please try hitbtc to add your experience using other exchange.
