You need  2.5 months or more active actions for up your rank. Use this time to read the forum. You will learn a lot of new things! Have a fun

Bop around the Services section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0) a little bit and see if there's any signature campaigns that take newbies. But if you really want to earn, you'll need to boost your ranking (without spamming or making low quality posts, of course). It really takes a lot of patience to be able to earn crypto on Bitcointalk.

I think it should be partly based upon upvotes to encourage good posts. But I guess people saying "Bitcoin is the best" etc might get upvotes with little content.

You can make some faucets, but the amount you'll get from them is very low. You'll need a lot of time. Good luck!

Do not worry about rank, focus on learning and always express your doubts, with time the rank comes ^^

There was great info in here for newbies like myself, thank you guys.  I hadn't seen the chart breakdown of how to rank yet, thank you for supplying that to see. 

I'm hoping it's not too late for us newbies to jump in and earn $ too.   :)

In your place, I would be active in the forum. You have to treat it like a hobby. In your spare time, take a look at the problems of other users and try to help them. Then someone will appreciate it and your rank will change.

i suggest you join bounty, airdrop and signature campaign.. there's a lot of oppurtunities here
