Title: What Exists?
Post by: Trongersoll on June 11, 2013, 04:15:48 PM
Is there currently anything with:

1. A faster Hash Rate.

2. Comparable power consumption.

3. A better price.

than an Erupter that can be bought today with US$ and received in a week?

I'm just asking because i see lots of posts about future products and chip buys, but i'm tired of trying to sift through them all to see what is real. and, i'm tired of the crazy prices people are willing to pay on eBay.

Either an Erupter Blade or a USB Erupter are the only two ASIC products you can buy right now, and receive them within 3-5 days after sending payment.

Disclosure: AM Erupter Blade & USB owner, and shareholder on btc-tc.

It's a very frustrating situation given the current suppliers, but hopefully within the next 2-3 months will be much easier to accomplish with fiat, and further decentralize mining.

You think its frustrating now, wait until the next 60 days when the diff level is 100 million and you have to buy a 100Gh unit in order to make any money.

What people don't realize yet (they will soon) is that if the value of BTC does not go up soon, the ROI on whatever equipment you will be able to afford will be years.

in 3 months its too late

Yes, but review mentions "the HD 7790 offers 300MHash for $150" and I just bought a used 7970 (700 MH for $300) which are obviously cheaper hash/$ than the USB erupters I also own and comparable to erupter blades...
