Dear Friends, I want to invest 500 usd in altcoins, any body give me a list of 4/5 good coins from the prospective of 6/7 months holding

I'm just suggest you to analysis coin market then decided to investment or not investment. Without analysis you can't make a good money from online. Recently we see weves coin is a most profitable but it is a long time process so you can buy waves, swp and bitcoin.

People say NEO, XMR, Waves, OMG, Ripple are the best alt-coins now. I do not trust the bitcoin, what to say about the alt-coins? I have bought 0.2 NEO, for 6 USD but this is it for now. My advice is not to invest in alt-coins. And ah, I forgot I found an interesting alt-coin 10-20 days ago, its name was UNO, but its market was closing.
  If you want to buy altcoins (with all my advice) I would say to hold them at least 3-5 years, not 6 months. In 6 months nothing happens with their value (in the best scenario you loose something of earn a little).
 

At current moment, I believe NEO would be one of the best investment. Monero (XMR) too still have a potential. I'm not too optimistic with waves, omisego or Ripple. Still Ethereum and bitcoin itself is better investment than them.

i would say ethereum, litecoin, dash, monero and nem. in my opinion they're all undervalued and therefore will see a rise in the next few months

That is such a difficult question. Are you talking about a cryptocurrency only or an "created economy" type ALT coin?

NEO, XMR, Waves, Ripple and buy them for a long time.
It is necessary to study a lot and other altkoins

I suggest you about Eidoo but you can try to make your own research about that through analyzing all of the data that already provided by the eidoo developers in the announcement thread.
But in my opinion, eido has a very solid team.
But determined from your total amount if that will better for you to choose those altcoins are having very little on its price. Maybe to put some of your amount looks good.
Just try to do your research about that, you will never regret it later.

if you want to invest good altcoins, i  suggest that you must invest the top 10 crypto currency in the market today this coins are  proven profitable for long term investments. the best choice will be Ethereum for it has so many large corporation are backing up the ethereum, they are more dynamic and pro-active than bitcoin. they have so many development and projects than bitcoin.

I woud advise you to check out Lisk, Waves and Neo. Those three have a big potential imo. Good luck on your investment !

Besides all of the ones that have been mentioned, take a look at Raiblocks(XRB).  It's basically IOTA with more positives before IOTA was a thing.  It hasn't exploded yet but when(not if) it does it should be significant.

Since your holding period is long, i would suggest to hold coins that has potential to grow in value. And because you only going to also focus on 3 coins, i will limit the choices to bitcoin, eth and neo.

For bitcoin, it is stable and constantly increase in value. For eth, the potential is there so it can rise in value. And the demand is always there so it wont drop too much. As for neo, it has huge potential too and the best part is that it able to generate gas which gives you free money.

There're many potential altcoins out there. Beside the top 10 crypto, you can do some research about Golem, IOTA, for me, those are very interesting coins.

I'm on the fence with NEO.  I love the technology, especially being able to use a variety of programming languages to write smart contracts, but man have a lot of people jumped on that train.  I am almost at 1000% and waiting for some adjustment but not willing to sell them yet. 

It can be risky but I like the idea of finding those black swan event undervalued new coins.  Just have to be very diligent with research and they need to pass a few litmus test - but there are some out there.  Currently all about Oyster which I hope succeeds or inspires similar tech and IOTA.  Of course diversification is a good idea still and Ethereum and Bitcoin are always good. :)

Well, why not to see price changes over the last 6 months to decide which coins to pick? Bitcoin went from $1300 to $6000, ethereum from $60 to $300, xrp from 3 cents to 20 cents, ltc from $15 to $60, dash from $80 to $300 and Neo from less than a dollar to $30. I guess, if you just keep your investments in top-15 coins on coinmarketcap, you'll get good profit. So it isn't really important to take a look at what these coins offer and whether their dev team are good. Best of luck!

I would suggest you to buy ripple right now. It is a project based upon the idea of real time gross transfer (RTGS), and global value transfer. It is a project which can certainly revolutionize the global banking system.
Ripple has been increasingly adopted by banks and is Used by companies such as UniCredit, UBS and Santander and it still has a lot of potential to grow.
The coin has a market capital of around 8 billion dollars and is one of the most stable crypto available in the market. You can expect it's price to be around 0.5$ within 5 years for sure.

This kind of question is very difficult. In the end it is going to be your position in which token to invest. Because eveyone has a favorite one and people are looking at it everyday. For you to put your money in an alt. coin and leave it there is very risky. If you don't mind to lose your money, ok, so do it. But my advise is choose one that is very popular (high market cap) and with liquidity.

Dear, The crypto market has many types of coins.It is very difficult to find good coins from here.But there are some coins that have their own wallet.Even their own platform uses a lot of ICOs.For example Waves,EHT,NEO etc.so i think this coin is so better.

I would not recommend altcoin for you. look for a very cheap coin, but with a note the coin has a pretty big prospect. yes you should examine every coin that could potentially generate a profit. there is a new ico coin and the price is falling now. but with a long time the coin will rise in value.

500 dollars are an amount that you can afford to lose and also it must be placed on high risks&gains coins. That is why i suggest you to invest in new ico'd projects but you need to search for solid idea and solid team and wait 1 or 2 years.

It takes too much experience and technical analysis to to find that coin to hold for 6 months. I cannot give true advice but my personal opinion, I believe edgeless is nice coin to hold for upcoming 6 months.

I have experience in forex but i found that forex is not equal to crypto here we need to see the basis of coin and even if list out 4/5 coins to ivest again it generates confusion in me.

Whether i put the entire 500 usd in ripple and forget for 1/2 years...will it worth???

The best coin that you can buy right now is Ethereum, it is very cheap right now (below $295) so if you want to make a good profit once that the next fork is over, the best option for you is Ethereum.
If you want to be much more safe, then invest that money on Bitcoin, you all know that bitcoin is unstoppable, there is no way that altcoins can rise faster than bitcoin (well, in some cases they did)
Just take a look on bitcoin or ethereum, they are the best ones.

If you would invest something more traditional, like stocks, people would advise you to take 80% on the save side and 20% on the risky side. So, I think ethereum can be one of the save options, maybe some other coin mentioned in this thread too. And on the risky side I like coin called zcoin, which has started to rise in past couple of weeks. Key idea in it is to be more anonymous.

Although it is pretty harsh to just call all Altcoins a scam I still agree with you on that investment. Investing in Bitcoin is the much better choice to make.

I suggest you to buy waves and ripple. For me, these coins are good for long term (6-7 monhts or  more) investment.

I only have 1 coin that is TRIG. Among other coins that i bought before only in TRIG i got a good profit. And I didn't buy anymore other coins when I discover its potential. Looking forward to have more profit in TRIG.

My advice is, do some intensive research, choose a coin that isn't just a coin/cryptocurrency, but has a real project with a team/developers, future plans with detailed roadmap behind it. You might need to be more patient for the coin to gain in value, but eventually it most likely will happen.Don't put your entire money in one coin, spread it around and  I generally stay away from airdrop tokens..I just bought some more Nem, Stratis and Tio.

Im bullish on Bitcoin Cash (BCH). It is currently around $630 USD and I believe it will crack $900 in the next few weeks. We all try to write off any sort of "FUD" but fear is a powerful motivator, and as the BTC/B2X fork approaches there will be some serious jitters and people looking to hedge their bets. Ive already exited my BTC holdings and shifted the majority to BCH. The "free money" of B2X will wind up being a disaster and I am not willing to lock up my funds in that mess.

BCH has doubled in price because the risk of BTC/B2X has doubled as well. A month ago there wasn’t even a certainty we would have a B2X split, but now it is clear to see there is a Civil War among the BTC/B2X factions.

Say what you will about BCH, but there is a lot less chaos and more stability in their development team vs the Segwit chains. For those who hold a lot of BTC it would be smart to hedge their portfolio with something more stable like BCH.

I agree choose a coin which have a good team and if it a good project. Also buy cheap coins they can be pumped up in the future it is actually not worth anything now.

So you can buy with little stress its just a few dollars you can lose this alright. If you lose everything it was just a few dollars so no worry's.

This is only my suggestions to you, those are Ethereum, Maid, Mysterium, Waves, Bitcoin and Utrust. These are the coins I think that will give profit for sure after a months of holding it mate.

Advise is to stay away from pump and dump schemes and just invest on solid teams and devs. Do your own research if you have time.

First and foremost make sure of yourself that you did a deep research about those coins with potential value that would hit the market, that has a good team and developers and are very dedicated. Now, if you find your atleast top 5 coin choice, look at their history the graps of the all time low and all time high value movements. It will help you identify reliable coins and will give you ease puttibg your money in investment. Thats what I did when I invested into some coins. Eth, stratis, wave and even Bitcoin this is some of cryptocurrency that I could suggest for now. I hope this would help buddy.

I would suggest 50% BTC, 20% ETH, 20% Waves, 10% others. No need to explain why BTC and ETH. Waves I choose because of the coming upgrade /may be this month/. Others you can choose not just for the adrenaline but because if one or two become rockets you can make huge profit. The rest probably will not bring you anything.
