Post by: imreallyaniceguyy on October 26, 2017, 06:56:37 PM
Just presented in  europe the BitVault first ever blockchain cellphone. Has anyone experience with a blockchain cellphone? Or what are you guys thoughts on this new invention?

I attended the launch party in London on 31 Oct 2017. This enterprise product will do very well.

Did a very short read about it. Interesting concept, whereas transfer of messages, files, etc go through "securely" on a private blockchain. Very interesting concept indeed, but we currently have no idea how "secure" that private blockchain is. Also, take in to consideration the usability of the phone itself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it runs it's own operating system, and not Android. So even though everything or most stuff on your phone might be secure, expect a good number of apps to be uninstallable on this device.

P.S. That price though. €999.00 / $1,165.00

Quite expensive too. If it runs on its Operating System, then it would be just like iOS wherein they have a total manipulation. Never heard of any review yet, it is really that secure, has it been stress tested. Plus this is not for the masses, perhaps that target is more on a class, specially those businessman. And maybe most apps that will be deployed is for pure cryptocurrency used, like wallets. Let's see how it goes, but for me the price is very expensive. Well maybe that's the price you have to pay if you really wanted to be more secured.

Looks like lots of hype over nothing, really. Your stuff is "securely transferred" over a blockchain, okay. Ask yourself, at which points it enters and exits blockchain and get surprized, not to mention the fact that all wireless operators store all data and are obliged by law to share it with law enforcement agencies, there goes your security. New OS is fine right until the moment new exploits and viruses will be created for it. And it will be soon enough, believe me.

On the surface it seemed promising, but there never was a bitvault. The imaginary bitvault was the bait to lure investors into buying EOT. EOT is the peter marais (aka eotoshi) scam coin.

SIRIN LABS has the only truly blockchain enabled phone, the "finney". The bitvault phone is a total scam, does not exist, never will exist. Invest in SRN not EOT. For EOT is the peter marais (aka eotoshi) scam coin.
