I do not see how it can be the end of altcoins, many are suffering because of the strength of bitcoin but that will change eventually. When alt-coins make major progress in terms of achieving their goals then their price will certainly increase. Only those alt-coins that do not offer anything of use will struggle forever. We can't say it is an end because the altcoin price also increasing in value but when compared to bitcoin the growth rate is too small. The price growth in bitcoin is due to its demand in market many people are buying the bitcoin so the price keeps increasing. But we knows that bitcoin is limited amount once all coin was mined the demand will be higher so at that time other altcoin also will get popular and gives you more profit than today.Be patient to make a good reap. Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: heldworld on October 27, 2017, 12:26:28 PM It has always been like this:
when bitcoin rises; Altcoins fall As bitcoin falls; Altcoins fall again :D It certainly shows the Bitcoin Supremacy ;D Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: bbcolex on October 27, 2017, 12:26:33 PM I think ICO should really be regulated , some shitty coins gave negative feeds to alt coin. But it's normal that when bitcoin price rise , alt coin price will go somehow go down. But still some Alt coins are promising and will last long term.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: btct22 on October 27, 2017, 12:28:16 PM No! Some altcoins solve Bitcoin's flaws too well to be ignored. PIVX for example has complete Zero Coin privacy now, with super fast transaction speeds and ultra low fees, it's a true "cup of coffee" currency that BTC can't match any more.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: tony_b on October 27, 2017, 12:30:30 PM Not the end but the beginning! 90% of Altcoins will not survive, I'm sure of that, but during the next year or two I'm sure we will see quality Altcoins emerge as brands known by all.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: sindikat on October 27, 2017, 12:34:05 PM I guess altcoins will always exist. It seems to me that they exercise the role of regulator of liquidity in the bitcoin market. Capital is constantly moving in altcoins in bitcoins. This means that there is demand for alternative coin. We all know that if there is a demand there will always be suggestions.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: rainmakerbill on October 27, 2017, 12:35:54 PM There's always going to be alt coins because people have fantasies of a new alt going to the moon. With coins getting pumped and then dying.

This is seen by slowly falling altcoin prices well maybe not all altcoin was falling down but it even almost all are this is the end of altcoin ? Quite early to say that it will be the end of altcoin, it has been there after bitcoin's creation and has a good market cap. It's a very popular thing that alt coins are falling down when bitcoin is going up.There are some altcoins that has good support from the community and traders because they are making that coins progress at it's best. The devs are doing their best to make those coins strong, just like ETH. I'm not an ETH fan but it has really a strong support. Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: Akash1243 on October 27, 2017, 01:16:59 PM I don't think so that altcoin would die or it is too early to say anything because altcoins has a good market and it has good cap value too.And it is good short term investment and also it is quite profitable.Altcoin is there for quite a time just like bitcoins, and has gained trust of many people and investors. There are some altcoins which might rival bitcoins in future like ethereum. But there are too many altcoin many of them may end but not all altcoins.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: ShadyMash on October 27, 2017, 01:29:06 PM Its true that bitcoin is a major factor for altocoins prices.but it is not the end.every coin has a time that falling badly.but it always rises up.even bitcoin is falling down some times.but again rises up.its about time and patience.if you hold your altocoins it will go up one day.but people need some patience. That is the thing lot of traders lack of.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: eldub on October 27, 2017, 02:21:11 PM Winter is coming. Altcoins have stalled many times, but there is always a resurgence at some point. Be patient during the lulls and be ready to make your money during the surges.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: humanvelocity on October 27, 2017, 02:39:09 PM Nope , there is no end to ALT coins as long as there is Bitcoin or we can say there is no end to it for maybe next 20 years. I personally feel like this is the future the world might go cashless someday and everyone just have use Bitcoins or ALT coins for all transaction but that most probably that wont happen.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: omnitudeorg on October 27, 2017, 02:54:31 PM its silly to think alt coins have no future, sure they might take a lot longer to ever get close to BTC but they all serve a purpose and its irrational to claim them to all be 'the end'

Post by: TanyaDegurechaff on October 27, 2017, 02:55:30 PM Nope , there is no end to ALT coins as long as there is Bitcoin or we can say there is no end to it for maybe next 20 years. I personally feel like this is the future the world might go cashless someday and everyone just have use Bitcoins or ALT coins for all transaction but that most probably that wont happen. There is a possibility that might happen but not for now or the few years to come. Remember humans are always creating ways to innovate and cryptocurrencies are an example of that and we never know if the world decides to stop printing paper currencies to help lessen the trees consumed or stop making real coins to lessen the mining of natural metal deposits which harms the nature.Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: Rufsilf on October 27, 2017, 03:38:33 PM I don't think that this is the end of the altcoin because how can we tell if this is the end of altcoin if we don't have see any huge dumps in the market and news from the legit sources for confirming about the death or end of the altcoin. Altcoins are still kicking and moving up and maybe they are going down but it is normal and they will surely get back up again.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: NiftyX on October 27, 2017, 03:57:31 PM Most likely just a slump in the altcoin market as everyone is converting to BTC in preparation for the fork. Give it time and it will rise again.

are you know the reason why altcoin created? to overcome the circulation of bitcoin only 21M. so altcoin not end Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? No, it doesn't mean the end of altcoins, it's alway been like this, and as long as bitcoin exists then altcoins will continue to exist. If the BTC price goes up, then altcoin will take a hit but they'll recover soone or later, if BTC price goes down, then altcoins will get a surge in the price but eventually they'll see a correction. Sure, some altcoins will dissapear in the long run, but the demand for altcoins won't stop. Investors, traders, support from the crypto community and many other factors will keep altcoins alive for a long time.Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: detector on October 27, 2017, 04:34:09 PM It's normal things to see altcoin got decrease when bitcoin getting pump since they adjusting their value toward bitcoin.
If altcoin also getting pump when bitcoin also got pump either, it means that altcoin's demand also increase and it's popularity is getting higher than before Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: akd_dadi on October 27, 2017, 04:35:06 PM Isn't it just a case of BTC increase causing altcoin decrease as to retain the altcoin's value in FIAT?
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? It won't be the end of Bitcoin or any Altcoin. The price goes up and down and more people panic each day when they notice that, even if the price goes down half a cent. Just relax.Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: Kolokoy on October 29, 2017, 04:52:36 PM I think it's part of the lifeline of every crypto currency that has been happening. I mean, not all the time Bitcoin and Altcoin to pump everyday, there's sliding slope also that can be seen from the graph. But fortunately, if there's a price decrease there's also a pump back up higher. That's what Bitcoin's price graph is all about.
Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: gyu22 on October 29, 2017, 04:55:49 PM I think this is the beginning. Most altcoins end in failure and causing trouble to some investors who don't calibrate accurately the risks. Regulation maybe the key for the future of altcoins. Japan, despite rumors of ban ICOs is studying regulation:
Although Japan has no specific laws for ICOs, they may be regulated by two existing laws. For businesses launching an ICO, the FSA emphasized: ICOs may fall within the scope of the Payment Services Act and/or the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act depending on how they are structured. If a token issued in an ICO falls under the virtual currency provisions of the Payment Services Act, then businesses providing digital currency exchange services regularly “must be registered with each Local Finance Bureau that is the delegated authority to the Prime Minister,” the FSA wrote. So far, eleven cryptocurrency exchanges have been approved by the agency. However, “if an ICO has the characteristics of an investment, and the purchase of a token by a virtual currency is practically deemed equivalent to that of legal tender, the ICO becomes subject to regulations under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act,” the agency described. Post by: ufalo3 on October 29, 2017, 05:22:21 PM Vice versa, as I see, new altcoins appear, and experts of cryptocurrency market make prognoses about their future. They do believe that Siacoin has brilliant future. Bitcoin Gold that has appeared recently becomes popular. Soon Bitcoin Platinum and Silver will appear. Sure no other virtual currency has the value like Bitcoin has, but time flies, and altcoins can surprise us.

Most alt coins end up with the Failure because it does not follow rules . However, under the ICO alt coins in the market , it does not scam easily. If a alt coins token is in the rule of ICO, I think these alt coins get success . Title: Re: is this the end of altcoin ? Post by: kissme09 on October 29, 2017, 05:47:40 PM The bitcoin price hike has been extremely volatile in previous rises, with most of the coin falling to the lowest level this year and if you want to return to the old peak it will take another year to return to the price. before the deep down like this. But now the price of bitcoin is unstable so altcoin can drop and create a new bottom
