Title: Thoughts on Bitcoin pay per video & other sites
Post by: mrhelpful on June 12, 2013, 07:47:37 AM
So before everyone trolls, and make some harsh remarks.

I`m pretty new to the "bitcoin" world. Heck, I found about it like 3 hrs ago.

Just curious on your inputs due to running into sites that offered "bitcoins per watching a video" or even "visiting their site".

Heres a list:
http://www.bitcoinget.com/
http://dailybitcoins.org/

Tell me what your thoughts are on these sites. I went through only 3 so far. I`ll report if I have more time..   :D

I am using such sites to get BTC, because I found a nice set of pages that allow me to gather BTC faster than with using my gaming rig for mining.

Using pay per video and pay per website visit sites is slow but steady.

The fastest way for earning BTC are tasksites, such as coinworker, tasks4dollars and dollarrewards, where you can do crowdflower tasks to get Bitcoin. Dollarrewards also has surveys and trial offers. But you have to read careful on trial offers on any site: They mostly are subscriptions. Also stay away from software downloads, they will install undesired additional software or even trojans.

Thanks for the feedback on those lists  8)

You dont have to disclose this, but just curious estimating how much do you beat the mining setup by. Do you pump out like 1 or 2 more BTC?

Use the BTC Faucet Rotator (http://coinfaucets.tk) instead. It takes you from one faucet to another and even keeps up with their cooldowns so you can keep hitting them without remembering what you visited and when, :). Very easy to use and makes it very quick to hit the faucets.

No. I wish. But no. My gaming rig just has 2 5750s running which can squeeze out about 350 MH/s. On the big pools that's enough to average at 0.013 BTC generated per 24 hrs. Since the value of BTC slightly dropped since I started that wouldn't even be enough to cover electricity cost. Hence I stopped it and looked for other ways.

Using the tasksites especialy easily gets me 0.02+ BTC per day for doing tasks just for 2 hrs.

Still it's a nice thing, which I use to gather up BTC and the buy games. First game bought was a key for Heart of the Swarm on bitmit.com for 0.21 BTC.

Bitcoinget.com doesn't just have videos. It also has tasks, which have the best earning potential. We also have special offers -- we DO NOT offer downloads, so you don't have to worry about getting any viruses/malware.

Keep in mind that it's harder to spend bitcoins when you've received them in very small amounts.

It really isn't that bad. You do pay some fees, but if you watch and merge the transactions into one every 50 or so transactions you will minimize that.
