When I first registered in 2011 I didn't take my account name very seriously.

Now that I do business on this forum I would like people to take me more professionally.

Therefore, I would like to change my username to "xxxthats4xes".

Only if you want to change your username whenever you want by yourself.

You can change the custom title as a VIP, but not your username unless I'm missing something.

Probably ask the admin or moderator if there's a way. Or create a new account if you really don't want this name, but you will lose all your previous credibility.

You need to PM theymos if you want to have your name changed.

You can change your display name in your account settings. You can't change the username that you use to login with.

For me it's not an editable box

Only Donators/VIPs can change it themselves. Other people need to PM me.

Talk about an obvious way to announce to the forum you just bought someone else's account...  ;)

If you want to sound 'professional' I suggest to just use your real name & surname, e.g. John Doe.

One time I told someone my email is DA_PENTAGON@gmail.com and then he sent an email, but I don't actually own that email, someone else does. Now I wanted to get the email that he sent me so I had to email the pentagon  :(
