Title: Secure offline wallet. USB Ubuntu boot drive. CoinLockr.com
Post by: drwho88888 on June 12, 2013, 02:07:58 PM
Storing Bitcoins, Litecoins and other crypto currency is fraught with difficulty and it has been shown conclusively that the best method is to keep them offline.

Using wallets on your PC is asking for problems what with trojans, keyloggers and the like and it really is a no brainer that this is the worst method of storing your valueable coins.

Online storage facilities are not much better with many already having been hacked and thousands of Bitcoins stolen. Your best option is to store them completely offline and this is exactly what our USB flashdrive has been designed to do.

The USB itself is password protected using 256-bit Twofish protection which is an unbroken algorithm and completely safe. It comes already locked with a simple password and then you change the password to anything you wish and as many times as you want.

You're then able to boot up Ubuntu LiveOS within its own window on any PC and make any transactions and browse completely anonymously, totally independently from the PC.

We've installed the lightweight Multibit Bitcoin wallet ready to keep your Bitcoins as well as Tor browser which is known as the best browser for complete anonymous browsing. We've bookmarked the Silk Road site where you can spend your Bitcoins or sell your products anonymously.

After you're finished you simply re-lock the USB drive and slip it into your pocket or put it in a drawer. If you lose it no one else will be able to access it.

For the cynics amongst you, there are are no virus', trojans or any other malware on the drive and each file can be tested on a site such as http://virusscan.jotti.org/en-gb to verify the fact

This is probably the safest method of keeping your coins available today.

You can obviously just use the drive as a Linux boot drive so you can surf the net safely no matter what host PC you're using. Only for use on a PC, not a Mac.

CoinLockr costs only £35 with free postage in the UK (next day if paid for by 1pm)

Paper wallets are also safe and people don't need to buy a special pendrive for live OS. They can easily burn it on their existing pen drive.

That's true. But they are easier to steal and both keys are available to see.
CoinLockr is locked  with a password. They also double up as bootable Linux LiveOS's already setup with Tor browser and Silk Road as well as the Multibit wallet.
