Title: Bitcoins lost?!
Post by: dize55 on October 29, 2017, 12:16:22 AM
Hi,

Yesterday i did a bitcoin transaction from my wallet to another one.
Unfortunately my pc crashed some minutes after i did the transaction because my electronic protection (dont know if you call it like that in english) went down.
Now my Bitcoins are in the chain and they dont reach the target.
Are they lost now or is there any way to get them back?
Transaction id is 4a6f8364b84b35cc378240c3bbe737ba47a1191d2420aecb238077d3e676fe6d if that matters.

Greetings

Alright, i was just worried because i did the transaction yesterday at 12 o'clock and normally it never takes that much time.
I'll take another look at it later, thank you.

Bitcoins can't get lost just like that. Please post your wallet address as well as the one your were sending to. The network is currently very slow, so it my be just that your coins are on the way but are just waiting for confirmation. Please be patient. I also did a small transaction the other day, it took more than 12/ hours to confirm.

There should be nothing wrong with the transaction if it entered the blockchain, which you have said it had. If it has been sent, and your network did not crash before sending the transaction, then it has been sent and is merely waiting to be confirmed, which may take a long time or a short time depending on the fee. If it was not sent, then your funds should be refunded once your wallet syncs with the network again.

There is no onus for people who are sending transactions to do anything but send the transaction. Once it is sent you don't have to do anything beyond wait for the network.

Mate they are not lost. but probably you filled the low fee. Now because of the low fee the transaction is not going through. Either it will take days to clear out or you need to do a following thing.
Go to Services board, and search for transaction accelerator threads. There are people here who accelerate bitcoin transactions for the noes with low fee problem. Most importantly its free service. I did exactly similar mistake few days ago, but when I contacted them they helped me in no time.
I hope I helped you.

calm and patient just waiting to get the confirmation, I think your bitcoin has not addressed your destination wallet if you did not send it wrong, and you need to double check again to make sure your wallet address is correct.

Just be patient mate, everything will be under control once it in on blockchain already, and it really took so long this past few days to fully confirmed ones transaction, so we all need to be patient, nothing to worry, and since you put low fee then it really need to wait for that, the higher the fee the lower of time for you to waut but since you lower the fee then the chance of waiting is long too.

Many people posted this kind of problems in the past but the problem lies not on the transaction speed and the blockchain but in the transaction fees you had paid the miners. If you want to confirm your transaction quickly you must have chosen a good transaction fee so you are not waiting a long time now. The best thing to do now is wait.

That is another problem you know. Sending small amounts is just a waste of fees because the fees are getting high too. If you will be sending a transaction, I think it is advisable to just make a transaction that is worth of the fees, there are people who just send bitcoin less than the fees which I think is a wasted transaction. Better look up a minimum transaction fee before sending so you can get it quickly.

In many cases Bitcoin has taken a very long time to confirm for me.  I would wait a while longer. I dont think a transaction can just get lost that way.

Lol you get lots of freak out posts when the mempool has a backlog. It's time to read up on how bitcoin transactions are included in blocks in priority of the highest fee first OP. Google is your friend.

I agree with you, bitcoin can't get lost like that. You only need is to wait and dont overthink with it. It could'nt be solve your problem if you just overthink . They will not end the bitcoin just like that because they know that they gave a great help to everyone and know that there is a great impact of  doing bitcoin in the users. Just seat there and do the deep breath while you are waiting.

Many people post this bitcoin with only the origin of the origin, therefore the bitcoin is a failure and his btc wallet did not get the results and failed

This is a load of rubbish. Unconfirmed transactions have nothing to do with verification. You don't even need to have an online "account" (verified or not) to own and send bitcoins. Most users have wallets on their own computers.
