Title: Moving BTC/USDT from one account to another on bittrex?
Post by: Gabzz11 on October 29, 2017, 11:27:22 AM
Any idea if moving my btc/usdt from one account to another on bittrex is possible?
like somehow creating a very high rate selling order and the other account buying it out... say $100 usdt for 1 btc.

As far as I am aware you cannot target a particular order so no this wouldn't be possible. The exchanged would automatically match you with the best offer there is.

no. you can not do that because of how the orderbook works.
for example if you place an order of $100 for 1 bitcoin there will be a ton of other orders in front of you and their platform doesn't allow anyone to choose an order to fill, it automatically fills the top order. which means even if you set the order to $100 and 1BTC you will end up paying $100 fill the top order and receive ~0.017BTC and your initial order will remain untouched.

I'm afraid Bittrex doesn't have the option of transferring balances directly between accounts. Just withdraw your USDT/BTC directly to your other Bittrex deposit address, I guess? This will incur withdrawal fees, but is probably the only option you have. Alternatively you could try contacting Bittrex support and see if they offer a manual balance transfer, although I doubt it.

This will not work because of the way the system matches orders in the order book. Your only option is to transfer bitcoin/usdt by paying the fees and waiting a while.

If you can't withdraw then how will you be able to transfer it to a friends account in the first place? In my experience verification was very prompt with bittrex, perhaps you should contact them and get an idea as to what the hold up is.

As far as I know, passports nowadays can't be valid for longer than five years, so are you using an expired passport? In future, before you start depositing any funds into any exchange, ensure you fully verify your accounts. With regulations clamping down, you should expect all exchanges over the coming months to require identity verification.

On your issue, just wait for support, hound them on as many channels as possible. Unfortunately, it seems that only pestering them (while being polite and clear in your requests) seems to be the only way to draw attention to your problem. Otherwise 8 days is beginning to be very normal in terms of support time.

Also, better not try anything funny. The system anyway won't let you do the trades you've just suggested, while withdrawing to someone else's account could get you in trouble. Don't give them any reason to flag you for potential fraud.

there currently are so many other users with the same problem or something of the same category with their verification and they are all stuck and waiting for an answer from Bittrex support team. 8 days is nothing compared to what some others have been waiting for!

Most of those users are suffering disabled accounts, mine isn't disabled.
