Damn, that is one unique item. What kind of figure is something like this worth? I genuinely don't have any clue whatsoever.

I would think because of how specific and unique this item is, it would be best to get an appraisal first to give a guideline price and then see what offers flow from that.

I don't know how many avid sports fans are on this forum and those who are probably don't have $25k to spend on a signed jersey

Either way, good luck with the sale it's a really interesting piece!

I tried appraising it through valuemystuff service, but wasn't happy, as they told me I that I have probably slightly overpaid and to do a proper evaluation they needed it on hand, and since Im from the East its kinda tough and looks risky for me, but I can travel with it for a face to face deal as well. And I was thinking its a bargain deal back in the day, Jordan only jersey is $2grand, Jordan and Kobe is $6grand and price increases in progression with every other HoF signature there, $25k with 33 sigs and one jersey available worldwide was a nobrainer for me.

But again, Ill consider anything from a 5 digit range or single digit btc :D

It certainly looks like an interesting collectors piece and surely one I'd be interested to see the sale price.

I don't know anything about sports memorabilia, but maybe it's worth seeing if you can find a forum which fanatics can trade on?

I've been in the sports cards and collectibles business for over 20 years and a collector my whole life.  It is a unique piece, and I don't want to say you overpaid, but you did pay towards the higher retail end.  There may be a buyer or two out there willing to offer 15-20K +/-, but your best bet would be to put it into a high end, well publicized sports collectibles auction.  Fact is that there are a good number of team signed balls and photos, not to mention a handful of team signed jerseys obtained one sig at a time by hard core collectors/fans. When players on this jersey begin to pass away is when it will take off......with the exception of Bryant "Big Country" Reeves....... :-\

Good luck with it.  It is nice.

Not sure I'd be able to capitalize on that as it will probably take time for these sad but inevitable events to happen.

I've been trying to put it on Sotheby's, almost got it through but eventually they declined it for whatever reason..

Since I'm from Europe - collectors business is not as much developed here as in the US.

Yeah, I know I probably overpaid but it was an impulse buy and a lot of fear of missing it out, so took my chances while I had.. I thought in 5-10 years such items will gain genormous value since we will be probably living in Apocalyptic movies-like life, with robots walking around and everything automated  :D

But thank you, I appreciate kind words !

My offer still stands, if you're willing to use Minerjones as Escrow.   Why not, again?

Since you are not interested in using Escrow...this Jersey will sit in your basement for decades at this rate.

G-luck with it...

I agree with gp

No escrow then you probably won't be able to sell it.  Don't think people are gonna chuck a lot of irreversible payments randomly for a high ticket piece.  Is there a reason you won't use escrow op?

I don't get it, do you want me to publicly humiliate you? Why are you doing this? We both know that you contacted me with your offer and offered to use Escrow of your pick - Minerjones. Which I agreed too. Eventually, I declined your lowball offer, and you said "Bye" to me. Twice.

I don't think you need it, but I can post screenshots of our private conversation where you asked multiple times about Escrow and every time I said - fine, we can use Escrow of YOUR CHOICE.

And now you called your girlfriend here to spread more FUD?  ::)
I've never said I'm against Escrow as long as its legit.

But no, I'm still not accepting your $11K offer. And I guess its not your business to think how long it'll stay in my basement, believe me, I'm not that desperate to sell it to some retard, who says one thing in DM and comes to public to spread complete bullsh*t because he got denied.

Cheers.

Not sure should I cut my veins or jump off the roof because of it? :) Its only one Jersey, though right, its the most expensive one among the rest, but still 1 of 28 nba jerseys I have and one of 100+ NBA signed memorabilia items in collection..

This is something that never depreciates in  price - so, why should I be upset? If it finds the right buyer - fine, if not - great also, since Im keeping something that adds up value over years.

You're using bitcointalk.org to try and sell sports memorabilia...bumping over and over and over.  Not trying to sell it through a much more appropriate venue because you just like us all so much and want to hook us up?  No one is jealous of this.  I think most people here aren't big in to sports.  I am a sports nut and would forget about this in my closet in a day.

I'm a little jealous.  I'd buy it in a heartbeat and hang it framed on my wall with spotlights if I thought for one minute it was authentic.  Sadly, there are just too many fakes like this to warranty purchasing such an item from anyone but a reputable dealer in my opinion.  :'(

Trusting the seller goes a long way towards believing authenticity.  Most will not buy from sellers they do not trust as truly assuring authenticity is near impossible these days.

You have not done a good job in your time here fostering trust....bad talking your best potential customers did not help your cause.

Honestly, there's nothing you can do online (at least for me).  Maybe pictures of you watching the athletes signing this jersey.  I would need merchandise like this to be an actual product released by someone like Upper Deck.

Like this: https://www.sportsframes.com/lebron-james-autographed-framed-maroon-cavs-jersey-auto-upper-deck-coa-d2-l/

I may be less trusting than others as I've seen a documentary on fraudulent autographs and am aware that a majority of items like this are fraudulent, many times without their owners even being aware.  I tried to sell an autographed Rollie Fingers ball here once.  Nobody was interested and I even watched him sign it in front of me (ran into him at a Spring Training game in Surprise, AZ and talked about how a friend of mine sold him a house, so he signed a ball for me).  In this environment, I just don't think things like this will sell, regardless of how you treat perspective customers.

I would be happy to pass it on to Upper Deck for certification, but unfortunately they have their own set of rules and they are not accepting things to certify from outside the company..

"The heart of the five-step process is the company’s policy that an Upper Deck representative must witness each autograph signed by any one of its stable of high-profile athletes."

I'd be happy to certify it anywhere else as I know its authentic.. But its already have been certified by another top agency :

I was fully expecting you to receive some solid offers for this jersey, aside from the concerns laid out by people like OG (which are valid); then I continued to read through the thread, and you randomly threaten to "publicly humiliate" greenplastic for NO reason whatsoever. You might be a collector, but you are no salesman. $11,000 is a wonderful first offer, probably something you could have negotiated GP higher, or even used that as a starting point for an auction if GP was willing to wait and accept it. There's so many ways this could have gone better, even simply saying "There must have been miscommunication. I am happy to use escrow, but your offer was not attractive." 1.8 BTC for a jersey is a wonderful deal (or at least starting point), considering BTC price is going to fly soon and you could easily end up with $40,000+ for your jersey. You can't expect people to hear that you paid $25k and want to offer you a profit, or even consider it in their offer. Why should the price you paid matter if nobody else sees it as that valuable?

I would raffle this off, auction it maybe, or just hold onto it. $11,000 is most likely the best offer you'll receive, and you've already really hurt your reputation as a seller by being a complete asshole for no reason.

Edit : I didn't even realize how old this thread is. You would be a happy man if you sold it to GP. Now it's been sitting for a year.

$11k starting offer?   ;D

Its at least 5 BTC, like minimum I would even bother reading about. This thread maybe 10 years old - who cares? $11k is a spit in the face, I actually spend more for monthly meal-plan..

Anyway, don't think its anyone's business the way I sell things - if you don't like something - you can go and jerk off somewhere else. I'm not here to make friends and I also give 0 value to being friendly real life, when you grow up to serious life business you'll understand what matters most - transparency, loyalty, honesty.. Noone cares how friendly you are if you are a crook. Neither do I. Be honest and we can have a deal.

Sick of these mommy's boys in the thread.. Grow up some hair on your balls first and set proper values needed for conducting any form of business. Salesmen sell hotdogs and hamburgers.

Idk I think if my waitress isn't fucking friendly she gonna only get a 10% tip

Are you in college? I've never heard the term "meal plan" used by someone who wasn't living in a dorm room on ramen and pizza.  And how are you spending $11k/month on food?
