Title: Am i doing this conversion right?
Post by: BittBurger on June 13, 2013, 06:28:37 AM
Disclaimer:  I know nothing.   Seriously.  About all of this stuff.

my CGMINER says this:

---------------------------------------------------------
<5s>:10.76 <avg>:11.28Mh/s
ST: 2 SS:0 NB:15 LW: 1119 GF:0 RF:0
GPU:  0
10.65M/11.30Mh/s
---------------------------------------------------------

When I go here:  http://www.litecoinminingcalculator.com/index.php

I pop in what?
1128 Kh/s?
Or 11,280 Kh/s ?

Is it correct that Difficulty is at 650?

I also get confused by this occasionally and go here: -> http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=11.28Mhz+in+khz (http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=11.28Mhz+in+khz) . Yes it says Mhz not MH/s but it works.

I don't know anything about Litecoin difficulty but using a Bitcoin calculator @650 difficulty it would get you 8.73 coins a day.

Anyone know the answer to my question?

Thanks

Mega = 1 million
Kilo = 1 thousand

So 1 Megahash per second (Mh/s) is 1 million hashes per second, 1 Kilohash per second (Kh/s) is 1000 hashes per second and therefore ... I'll let you do the rest from here on.

The Litecoin difficulty is currently around 650. Bitcoin is on a whole different level difficulty-wise (also because it uses a different hashing algorithm), so make sure you use the right calculator!

A single GPU is not giving you 10MH while mining litecoins. You need to either add --scrypt to your .bat file or change poclbm to scrypt in your .conf file.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see him state he was using only one gpu  ???
