Title: Anyone want to help me develop altcoin
Post by: croraf on October 30, 2017, 04:08:55 PM
I'm developing an altcoin from nothing.

Language is Node.js - ES6.

Anyone with experience in node.js and knowledge of bitcoin that wants to jump-in and help?

P.S. I'm at the initial stage, some basic things I've already done.

You should take your time and make sure that your ducks are in a row at the release date. If there is one thing wrong, then the scammers will hit that weak spot, and the others will chew you up.

In my opinion, the main secret of the cryptocurrencies' promotion is marketing) So you should work on that

I agree with you, but do not forget about safety. This is very important now, when even such wallets as Parity are subject to hacking.

Use a nice IDE, even though you may not need one, it will make the long process take less time and be more mentally clear step by step. Check out the API's and such and maybe build on something like NXT, which can cut your time way down.
