https://medium.com/@eBTCFoundation/ebtc-token-swap-announcement-7350ca28ba42 Says that it will be worthless. The thing is the new ebtc token is distributed to all those with old ebtc token. That means hitbtc also got it. Will hitbtc change their old ebtc token into the new ebtc token? The reason I ask is because hitbtc should be getting their ebtc token anyway. I thought they notify all exchanges about this. The exchange should get the token. Why didn't I withdraw? Well, I didn't know about the token swap. I was just buying and selling like usual. Then suddenly price drops like rock. Lost 1 ETH worth of money here :( This is the first time ever I lost money because of coin exchange. Title: Re: What happened to old ebtc token? If that's true, then exchange should also got new ebtc because they have old ebtc. Am I correct here? That's why I don't understand why people with old ebtc in hitbtc don't get new ebtc. I myself did not know there was a swap going on. Happily bought Ebtc[old] thinking i could trade on its price movement. Went overseas, came back and I could not see any balance on my Ebtc in etherdelta (yes I left them in there). Upon checking further, I realized that the Ebtc I have is now labelled as Ebtcold. Absolutely nonsense. Simply creating new coins, swapping, forking, splitting, whatevernexts... all these making tracking on our part much more difficult to manage. Not going to touch these kind of nonsense tokens anymore. Now I will just have to sell my worthless Ebtcold back into ETH at a great loss.
