It's like a roller coaster. Its market value falls and increases from time to time. And in that graph, it shows that the increase is still bigger than the bacdrops which is also another reason on not to worry whenever there are declines on its market value. So thw best thing to do is to still hold and wait patiently.https://bitcoincharts.com/charts/chart.png?width=940&m=bitstampUSD&SubmitButton=Draw&r=2&i=&c=0&s=&e=&Prev=&Next=&t=S&b=&a1=&m1=10&a2=&m2=25&x=0&i1=&i2=&i3=&i4=&v=1&cv=0&ps=0&l=0&p=0& (https://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitstampUSD#rg2ztgSzm1g10zm2g25zv) 8) Title: Re: Bitcoin just jumped $200, and then dumped $100... Post by: hasmukh_rawal on October 31, 2017, 02:39:06 PM It definitely is a joy ride for those who are holding BTC at the moment. Time for some party. I must say that it was real difficult to find the dump since the majority of pump took over the slight dump. BTC is increasing so quickly I fear there is gonna be a dump in near future.
The price has increased almost $400 within the past 24 hrs and this huge increase in price indicates a short dump for sure. The China Hype and the upcoming fork might be the reason behind this pump in price. Title: Re: Bitcoin just jumped $200, and then dumped $100... You know why i'm not scared and will be an holder even if BTC would drop to 100$? Because the small amount i have was earned with hard work, giving advices, helping the community and so on, there was no investment involved (my financial situation is not the best ever), in all honestly, i don't know i would react if i would have invested real money, with my own money involved i would be so stressed because investing money i would have used to buy stuff i need (not luxury crap but useful things) it's a different story. Well, in the early days big fluctuations was common, because the whales was much bigger. I believe a lot of these whales has sold some of their coins over the years, so the manipulation should have decreased. We also had less exchanges, so the volumes was much bigger and it was easier to manipulate fewer exchanges. In theory, volatility should decrease even more, as bitcoins are distributed more evenly. ;D Title: Re: Bitcoin just jumped $200, and then dumped $100... But for those who have joined the picture recently, its gonna be a mixed emotions for them, some might get nervous specially when it fall in couple of minutes, while others are enjoying seeing that they are making a profit (although small). If i were to trade in that then lose a substantial amount of bitcoin i might be having a heart attack. Bitcoin nowadays is not for the weak and risk taker because it will really cause a big stress in your daily life. That's why buying at low and holding for long term is the best option for some of us. But for traders who is willing to risk to do day trading, they have advantages to make a good profit although it involves a lot of experience on their part. And I'm sure with the current price swing, there are a lot of big boys earning by the millions today. Title: Re: Bitcoin just jumped $200, and then dumped $100... Post by: Reatim on October 31, 2017, 03:18:24 PM I don't like what I'm seeing, looks like someone from behind is manipulating the price to their advantage. The price swing is not organic for me, the only one that is benefiting from all of it is the whales. As much as this practice is really fraudulent, we cant really do anything about it. I hope casual traders are not swept by this market manipulators though, and hope that they can at least get a share from the profit today.

I hope what you're saying is wrong because it is really true then those whales or big investors could easily make bitcoin's go low and made those small investors such as us lose some money. I do hope that it's just a wrong sell order made by someone but if not then goodluck. Title: Re: Bitcoin just jumped $200, and then dumped $100... Title: Re: Bitcoin just jumped $200, and then dumped $100... Post by: Dudeperfect on October 31, 2017, 03:56:12 PM What could be the possible reason? I think, there might be the involvement of margin traders and they trade huge amount with high leverage for short time span considering the sentiments of the market for the same. However, I am not surprised with such incident as in a wild behaviour like current market movements, everyone would try to en-cash the opportunities and this price graph highlights the same.
