So, what's the point of this thread?
If people are interested by auctions, they go in the dedicated subforum.
If people are interested by your auction, they will go in your thread.

agreed.  This should really be posted in the goods or perhaps digital goods section.  The op is not offering a "currency exchange".

converting bitcoins from a wallet into a physical object (casascius coin) is not a form of currency exchange?

NO, I think it's a "good" or "digital good".  Currency exchange is typically used for people converting btc <=> fiat or some other form of 'currency'.
