How can the price be where it is still, given that there is no cap on supply, it was a massive premine, terrible store of value, was never supposed to be sound money, and that it has no utility right now besides being used for scam ICOs?  No one really uses dapps or anything yet, right?

Because it was first to hit the market for what it does. When LISK and NEO mature it is likely that ETH will drop due to bloat issues, and more advanced platforms like LISK (solves bloat issues) will take over.

This week showed that Ethereum is a very stable cryptocurrency. I know guys that also did not believe into ETH and sold everything what they had exchanging Ethereum into dollars. Now they regret. I doubt it has anything common with scam. I invested into this virtual currency )))

some are scams, but not all, the problem is that everybody tries to lend as much as possible in order to invest as much as possible to earn as much as possible, those that were rich before have the best tools to impress the masses of idiots to invest into them, which in the end leads again to their demise, its better to drop older established cryptocurrencies over time.

among ICO, many are scam but not all! while people are interesting in ico the price still high!

It seems to me that you are too critical of the Ethereum. Yes, now a lot of scams ICO. But there are also a lot of great companies who want to release their tokens and Ethereum, it helps in this.

The same question could apply to bitcoin. Why it's price is so high if there is no actual usage? I mean, there are not many shops, marketplaces, restaurants where you can pay with bitcoin. Moreover, people are even afraid to pay in bitcoin because the price "may raise in the future". It's fees are enormous and high price makes it unusable as to pay few dollars you need to sent some decimals of bitcoin. Easily other currency could replace it and be more usable. But bitcoin is the first one. The same applies for Ethereum, there are better smart contract and dapp related projects like Lisk for example, yet ethereum has this media coverage and even the title of "Bitcoin second competitor". Cryptocurrency market is now almost purely speculative, don't look for sense in prices.

Whether you like ethereum or not, you can not dispute the fact that ethereum is the most useful cryptocurrency as at now! Tommorow may be different but right now ethereum is irreplaceable and is better than most cryptocurrency to date!

Its not all of the smart contracts are scam there are legitimate companies are using it for a temporarily cause some are making their own blockchain. Also Ethereum brings a new tech to the crypto world.

Wow, shilling LISK now? Lisk the shit coin that has many more issues than Ethereum? Lisk the coin that has ZERO usage, no coins, no tokens, no dapps, nothing, yet has a $500,000 market cap from shitty investors who think they are good investors? Lisk the coin where you have to type in your seed key every time to use?

Lisk is the WORST coin in the marketplace.

Also keep in mind 70% of the LISK belongs to the top 100 holders. Keep in mind the "Delegate" Voting policy is hugely unfair and you get less than 1% rewards for staking your LISK, while the person you are delegating gets 99%.

LISK has one of the worst teams in the crypto world and it has the dumbest followers who will say good things about it even though it is utter shit.

As more and more ETH users and confidence in ETH are getting stronger I think it's pretty hard to close Etherium.

On top of it ETH lost immutability by forking for doa hack.  Why not fork for this $150M which is ~3 times the amount of lost funds?  ETH is officially a mutable trashcoin.  Time to buy ETC.
