I've started mining. Judging from the social media activity, amount of support and backers, and mining hashrate, Electroneum may be one of those 1% legitimate ICOs.
Hope it does well, since I have my hashpower directed at it!

How do we add an address to the dashboard in the website?

Thanks for the letting us know. I have started mining using my laptop. Now I will try to see how many I can earn using just normal cpu.

I realise it's a likely false positive but both browsers (chrome and ff) are giving me virus / malware warning on the windows miner software. Really not a good start for people new to this.

would it not cause damage to the cpu?

um no where on that thread does it say that they are mining no the PHONE.

It's pretty clear that they are mining on the GPU and Windows, which means a DESKTOP machine, NOT MOBILE.

Same here, started mining with regular CPU. As these are the early days maybe we can make something like we used to do with ETH and BTC....

great lets scam the rich idiots and banksters that belived in bitcoin and stop mining it, replacing it with electroneum, and doing this over and over again, to shackle money out of them lol

They delaying the mobile mining feature, but i saw many peoples are mining etn on their pc's dont know how that works because right now im far from my pc.

Electroneum became popular mainly because of its mobile mining concept. So many people keep thinking that mining here is traditional mining, but that is completely wrong and people are assuming the wrong thing. Mining etn on the mobile involves using their app and mining coins through their app which is like a game of some sort. Traditional mining can be done through the desktop which went live yesterday, but mobile mining will go live very soon and I am pretty excited for it.

Any idea if there is a maximum of ETN that can be mined? The concept sounds great but if we can mine forever the value will be not that high...

Ok, I started mining yesterday and the number of total shares is increasing slowly. Can anyone explain what the next step is that I should take to convert this into ETN? I guess I am half way but there is a step that I am missing, sorry if the question is too stupid to ask. Just trying to learn here.... 

When i try to start claymore it says i have a invaled wallet address. I made sure to remove the spaces....

For your easy reference, the max supply is 1,000,000,000 ETN (21 Billion). A bit too much if you ask me but hey. It turned out to be a profitable coin. Congrats to all ICO investors. Too bad they can't sell their ETN yet.

I hope the value won't decrease too much. Because it is steadily decreasing... When investors are going to transfer their coins, maybe it will be only 0.05 cts or lower?

Yeah traditional mining can only be done through PC and mining rigs. I also came to know that the mobile phone feature is not actual mining and it's just a simulation designed for the smartphone. I dont know whether it is actually true since the whole concept of Electroneum was mining through mobile phone. They should have launched the mobile mining first and then the traditional mining in order to acquire many number of users to their program.

I think mining difficulty is already too high for the normal miners that don't have expensive mining Riggs. Does anyone know if the payout-limit of 100 ETN will be lowered in the eu/asia/usa pools? All those people that started mining but will never reach 100 coins now the difficulty is so high are missing out on their coins. This is a shame since ETN was particularly focussing on the "regular people" that are new to Crypto

You don't. No online wallets have been published yet. But you can use the offline wallet that they put and mine to that address.
Once the network goes live, you can import the private keys to any wallet to spend your mined coins.

And for gpu mining use ccminer for nvidia cards (I don't know its equivalent for amd).

I personally think this is one the ICOs that will actually create something successful. Let's hope it does.
There is a lot of excitement and support for it, I expect its price to go up really high once it hits exchanges.

So you dreamers are just coming to your senses, how do you think a Phone will compete with dedicated miner machines to mine, it just like looking to mine Bitcoin with my laptop

I think too that it is a shame. Only people having special equipments are going to be able to get some profits. I don't know if the payout-limit will be lowered. But one day they surely will. Becareful to not stop mining, because if you stop you will lose the coins you mined if you didn't reach the minimum payout. It is like this on other mining pools. But if you see that it is not profitable to mine and you think that the coin won't reach a certain price, it is better to stop mining.

Just downloaded the miner for Mac from their website and is currently syncing with the blockchain.

Let's just see how this one will go.

How can you see how many coins you've mined?

You can go to https://uspool.electroneum.com to quickly check your earnings.

Just enter you ETN address under "Your Stats & Payment History".

You should then see your balance there. Some are having issues though as for some it says "Not Found"

Mobile phones are not designed for mining. I don't think it will be good for you smartphone to burn its cpu mining some cents or dollars worth.

It doesnt hurt the phone or battery.

If you can mine it forever and there will be a lot of inflation in the minereum , but the dev already put the fixed supply in there. You can try to check the whitepaper about that or try to talk about that with the developer.

I do not think mining on mobile phone is a good idea... you will get bored eventually due to difficulty reaching withdrawal limit. If you insist, I will suggest you mine when you are about to go to bed. I usually let my mining run from evening — morning back then when I used to mine Monereo on computers and phones

May be they should release the mobile app for mining because for mobile mining we need to have good hardware equipment otherwise our laptop will get damage. We have to wait for mobile mining review from people before mining through mobile.

Why do you want to install something untested and unverified? They are probably mining with hundreds of graphic cards as we speak, How do you know they're not using something like asicboost? There are too many coins for mining right now, We can't review all of them properly to make sure about everything before starting to mine. What is the best GPU to mine this coin?

The mobile mining isn't mining - it's a SIMULATION. It's basically a game that you can get paid for in ETN. That's it. It's meant to bring the crypto/mining 'expirience' to the main stream.

GPU/CPU mining ETN is too difficult now. You won't get much out of it unless you have a powerful rig, but even then, expect to get a few coins a day which isn't worth it.

You guys missed the mining boat after the first few days. Those guys made out with a decent chunk of change.

I started mining on my laptop last week and after three days mining the profit was 0.5 ETN .... I guess have to buy some fancy stuff to mine ETN or some other coins :-). However, I am curious how things will work out when we can start 'mining' on our cell ...

Could this damage my computer or phone? And is it worthy?

Within the first day, if I remember correctly there was like 15000 people mining! I can see the value of ETN plummeting, especially with the dump when they hit the exchanges and people cash in their bounties. Hopefully hodling will pay off with this one in the end.

It's exactly not worthy! I have mined for 5 hours in a game PC and still zero coin. It is a time-sink. >:(

Don't you think that laptop is not a good miner ware. I think CPU will be more durable to the heat. When you mine with a laptop , I am affraid your laptop will got high heated. CPU or GPU is better than laptop to mine crypto. The hashrate from laptop is also too small.

Your wallet is out of sync. You have to sync the blockchain in order to know your balance. It will take along time but that's the only way to know your balance. You can also check the payout at your pool.

ETN sucks i bought tokens on pre-ico been waiting them to fix the problem in their wallet invested $2000 until now no ROI such a scam.

Well your hashrate is 1.3 H/s. I have a hashrate of around 3000 H/s and that gives me 300 ETN in a day. There is no point in you mining with that low hashrate.
