Title: How not to get scammed using WU on LBC!
Post by: btc-hunter on November 01, 2017, 08:28:09 AM
Hello guys, now I want to warn everybody of a new scheme how to cheat sellers on lbc using WU.

As everybody know WU transfer check system will only show you limited infos. about the status of a transfer. That's why the lbc dispute team will get tricked by this.

This is how a real scenario will happen!

First step:

Scammer will find a low feedback user that accept WU as payment and start lbc normal trade with him.

Second step:

Scammer will go and pay the money by WU to the seller but when he send the payment, send only $50. Once WU give him the MTCN he will get a blank copy of a transfer receipt and complete it using real details and real MTCN obtained from WU but change amount to real amount he has to send to the seller.

Step three:

Scammer mark payment as complete and send payment details to seller through lbc chat system. Scammer wait 5 - 10 minutes and cancel the WU transfer. The status of the wu transfer will change to picked-up.

Step four:

Start dispute. Once scammer will cancel the transfer will ask the seller for bitcoin since the seller has picked up the money. ;) Seller will deny. Then scammer start dispute with him on lbc.

Step five:

Get the btc. Scammer will provide lbc with all the details they ask and the scammer will get btc 100%. LBC dispute team can't check for real what happens to the transfer and based on scammer evidence (WU receipt and transfer check as picked-up on wu.com) the scammer have sent the money and seller has picked up the money!
