It means nothing. If they had plans to accept bitcoin, ethereum or any other crypto currency, they would've add it to the site itself (Amazon.com) with the other payment methods they already have. This is something that most of the companies do I believe, they buy these domains so someone else don't get them and use them to scam people.

We might be far from Amazon accepting Bitcoin, but I believe those rumors were not completely baseless, and these news are a proof that Amazon is actually interested in cryptocurrency. And I can definitely see how global currency like Bitcoin can benefit them - it can be used in any country, unlike systems like PayPal which are not present in some countries; it has only one fee, so it's cheaper than banks with their multiple fees and conversion rates. Plus, there's no chargeback so there's less costs for them to cover.

well i wouldn't be too excited as they have already bought the amazonbitcoin.com back in 2013. But nothing happened ever since. They might be just protecting their brand name. But if major players like amazon and eBay start accepting bitcoin, nobody will be able to stop bitcoin bull run

This is a really great news. Good to hear that Amazon has already recognized cryptocurrencies. This must be an indication that they are now open for transactions that uses electronic money right? I have been wanting to order at Amazon and I think one of the most convenient way would be adding bitcoin, or other altcoins in their option of payment.

Three years ago Amazon bought domain name amazonbitcoin.com, until now nothing happens if you visit that domain it will only redirect you to their official website. But maybe Amazon have plan to accept cryptocurrencies in the near future if the demand increases, there are also rumors that they will accept it or maybe Amazon just protecting their names so that no one can use it for evil activities. If they have plans to accept cryptos especially Bitcoin this will be a great news and will be a big help to boost its value. We all have been waiting for this to happen.

It isn't good news if they accept Bitcoin, but don't exchange them or pay them out. Remember, Amazon is a major globalist organisation, and Bitcoin is a threat to their aim to create a global currency. If they suck most of the Bitcoin out of the market, it will certainly increase its value, but it will make it unusable as a medium of exchange. Bitcoin may then be forced to increase the supply of Bitcoin to remain viable.
