Title: which motherboard for a core2duo (LGA755) cpu for 3x gpu Post by: mazedk on June 15, 2013, 08:31:46 AM hey guys
What options do I have for a 3x gpu mining rig when running a core2duo cpu? - trying to reuse some of the hardware i have laying around. Got everything but a proper motherboard with more than 1x 16x pci-e - prefferably 3x if possible? - im not sure if that was even possible back then? Thanks, maze Title: Re: which motherboard for a core2duo (LGA755) cpu for 3x gpu Post by: abbeytim on June 15, 2013, 09:09:24 AM hi the NVidia chipset ones like 680i 780i have three slots

Title: Re: which motherboard for a core2duo (LGA755) cpu for 3x gpu Post by: mrmanager on June 18, 2013, 12:42:42 AM An Asus P5B Deluxe will do the job. It has 3 pci-x slots, two are "16x" and one is 1x. This was a popular board at the time, and you may be able to find it for relatively cheap.
Also, if you can find an Asus P5W64-WS, you will have access to four 16x slots, but I'm sure that this board will be difficult to find. The Asus P5W DH Deluxe has two 16x slots and two 1x slots, but it wasn't as popular as the P5B.
