They just acquired three new crypto related domain names. The domains are:

amazonethereum.com
amazoncryptocurrency.com
amazoncryptocurrencies.com

They've actually had amazonbitcoin.com for a few years now but have never done anything with it. Furthermore, they are claiming to still have no intentions of accepting cryptocurrency until demand increased. Still, happy to see ethereum is on their radar.

Wow, this means great news. So much real life usage coming into the terrain. Maybe they buy the .eth addresses too!

Wowww this is very good news and development. If the price increases, the ETH nin will be very good.

You can buy GoogleBitcoin, AppleBitcoin, BMWBitcoin, SamsungBitcoin, etc.  Got the drift???

Many people prospect and buy domain names in hope to sell them later for big bucks.

BTW, it is not me...just using that as an example.

Tried amazonbitcoin.com and it takes you to amazon.com   :)
Maybe they are getting ready to accept bitcoin and other cryptos for payments.

Unless you work for Amazon. ;) It was actually amazon that registered for these domain names according to the report.

I concede...I ran and checked and so far looks like owned by Amazon Legal Department

Why have they bought those domains?

I think something is going under radar that we don't know, but I think they now they have missed out on crypto growth this year, we should expect some of this big retailers to open up their hands to Crpto acceptance this year

dont you sure this is their domain. maybe someone buy it and hold till have a good price then sell back to amazon . people do it all the time

Looks like 2018 is gonna be great for Ethereum and crypto currencies as giants like amazon are now interested in them and hopefully will start accepting them too.

Not sure about that but if the bitcoin fees still very high and that makes amazon's interest to add bitcoin to be ignored. The possible thing about if ethereum has implemented sharding network and then the fees was really cheap. But i can't believe it if the amazon will try think directly to add crypto on their payment system.

This is really beautiful and we should expect more positive news to come. Amazon purchasing cryptocurrency related  domain names  is a sign that very soon most of the online retails mainstream shop are going to accept cryptocurrency as a mode of payment and though bitcoin transaction fees is very discouraging for most of us and shops I think ethereum can take it place.

Any official news from Amazon acknowledge those domains.

yeah. we have the same idea, that also comes to my mind after reading this thread. It may be possible that amazon.com will start to embrace the cryptocurrency and trying to enter in the cryptoworld..I am so excited for this!

For the record is it really their domain? Or someone gets a bit carried away with the amazon name, Yes it has been in the news but is the content real enough? And just like amazon said they are not accepting or buying any Crypto related things that is why they have such domains? Or maybe Amazon is lying about not getting involve with cryptocurrency issues and getting ready to accept it in the future when they seen a great opportunity to ready this domain and accepting bitcoin and other Coins will be just a breeze! We can not be sure if what is the real motive behind all of this and yet Amazon keeps on evading the issue.

Creating a domain name wouldn't have major impact and usage of crytocurrencies in Amazon site matters. Hope this domain name's are really created by Amazon team, however, they haven't done anything with amazonbitcoin domain as you mentioned. Lets wait and watch what happens next with Ethereum domain name.
